Budget Blinds provided a consultation and installed blinds in four rooms of our home. We recently completed a renovation to our home and needed window treatments in four rooms. We have a 10 month old daughter, so I needed the selection/installation process to be quick and simple. I initially went to Home Depot as I heard they had competitive pricing on blinds. I arrived with my daughter in tow and I soon realized that the process of buying blinds there was going to be more time consuming than I had anticipated. The sales associate was very friendly, but the paperwork process to set up my home consultation was lengthy because we were distracted by other customers, the sample books were in different parts of the store, I had to get a paint sample from the paint department to match the blinds...it just took a long time. Sure enough, my usually happy-go-lucky daughter became so antsy and fussy that we had to leave before setting up the home consultation. I was frustrated to leave with nothing. My contractor had initially recommended Budget Blinds, so I decided to give them a call. I wish I had done this the first time around! Mike came directly to my home with many different window treatment samples. He was prompt, professional and incredibly polite. It was so great to get to choose the blinds in the comfort of my own home - there were no outside distractions, I could perfectly match the blinds to our paint and decor and, most importantly, I could have my daughter playing nearby. Also noteworthy - Mike gave us FREE temporary blinds which was a really nice gesture that was appreciated not only by us, but our neighbors too! :) The installation process was equally simple and the installer was equally prompt, professional and polite. He was very flexible about scheduling the installation and really easy to work with. I was very pleased with the entire process and would HIGHLY recommend Budget Blinds of Atlanta (North East). We will use them for all future window treatment needs. more

We needed shades to block out the intense morning sun and cut down on the heat coming in to our living room and bedroom. I feel so lucky to have found Michael from Budget Blinds to help us determine which window treatments would be the best for our home. Our living room and master bedroom face directly east; the morning sun was nearly unbearable, not to mention the heat that would pour in through those windows. Michael came for an in-home consultation and was very knowledgeable about what window treatments would work best for light and heat blocking. He was also very patient with my indecisive ways, and showed me multiple options in all the different colors available. I needed sun protection/privacy shades for my screened porch. Budget blinds measured, ordered and installed the shades.Member Comments: It went great. The estimate/measuring session came off on time. The estimator was very knowledgable. He warned me about the enclosure not being exactly plumb (the screen openings were narrower on the tip than on the bottom). The installer had to work very hard to get the shades in perfectly (because of the odd opening), but the finished project was perfect. more

Mike showed up on time to give us an estimate. He was very polite and patient during the entire time at our house. I have 2 young boys that wanted my attention and his as well and he was friendly and kind. He showed me the products and my options. He had a lot of good suggestions and the price was less than 2 other major companies that quoted. Their lead time was also 1/2 of which was quoted by the other companies. We had honey comb blinds installed in our living room and master bedrooom. The installer was very quick and kind as well. Mike also followed up after to install to make sure everything was to our liking. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would use them again.\r more

Measuring & installation of blinds. They also removed existing window treatment that was huge for me! I googled blinds on internet called the company nearest to me. They promptly called to schedule. Met with the owner who did measurements and quote same day. We agreed and scheduled date. Their installation tech did an amazing job! I couldn't be more happy with the final product! more

Our experience with Budget Blinds included them coming to our home to bring us samples and ideas, measure, then install our selections. We had no idea what to do for window treatments in our new home, nor did we have the first clue about measuring properly. We called Budget Blinds and they took the guess-work out of everything. Mike came with a variety of samples and suggestions and was more than helpful, patient and pleasant. He was not pushy at all, which I appreciate. The installer came to instal when promised, and he was in and out of our home in a short time. The follow-up and care that was taken to ensure our satisfaction was much appreciated. Mr. Hewitt came to our home as previously scheduled to provide a quote for the replacement of a solar shade installed by another company. (The control chain for the large shade had broken repeatedly and we had become impatiet with the solutions offered by the original company.) Mr. Hewitt was patient and helpful. Mr. Hewitt provided the quote as requested (working carefully and patiently), but, against his own short-term financial interest, he then urged us to contact the original provider and insist on a free repair. He explained that the window-treatment industry expects to stand behind their products, and he would certainly expect to repair or replace a shade with such problems. The quote he provided, for two shades to replace one large one, was less than we originally paid for the big shade. While we have taken his advice and are pursuing a resolution with the original provider, we would certainly call Mr. Hewitt first for any new work in our home. more

We used Budget Blinds to provide blinds for six windows in our renovated home. Mike, the salesman, was professional, courteous, and very helpful with the both the type and color selection of the blinds we needed. Even though there was an error with the blinds (the wrong returns were provided by the factory,) Mike and his installer called to provide updates on the delivery of the correct returns and scheduled the installation almost the day they were received. They were a little pricey but for a good fit in a non-standard window, I would definitely recommend them and if necessary wouldn't hesitate to call them again! more

Mike Hewitt consulted with me about the types of window coverings that I was interested in. He measured everything perfectly on the first visit. He advised me that the blinds would come in within a couple of weeks, but that the plantation shutters would take 8 weeks or so. The installers that he had, were also great at their jobs. They arrived on time, installed everything without any problems, and cleaned up after themselves. The installers made sure that I was satisfied with the installation of the product. The week following the installations, Mike contacted me and came by to ensure that I was happy with the products and the service. I had used a Budget Blinds franchise before when we lived in Alpharetta, GA and had been happy with their service and products. When we moved back to Atlanta a few years ago, we bought an older home that had been renovated, and I purposely took my time to figure out exactly what I wanted. Mike Hewitt is the Budget Blinds contact for my area, and was an absolute joy to work with! Not only was MIke on time and professional in his dealings with me, but he was so incredibly nice and really took the time to see that I got what I wanted. A few of the windows are original to the home, but the majority are new windows, and a few are odd sizes. I had always wanted plantation shutters, but thought that they would be too expensive, and I had resigned myself to the fact that I had to settle for top-down, bottom-up roman shades for my master bath's odd-sized windows in the front of the house. Mike went the extra mile, to measure and price everything out for several options. It turned out that the roman shades would have been more expensive, and that the plantation shutters were within my budget for the downstairs. Mike even made a great suggestion in the design of the plantation shutter for those bathroom windows so that I can keep the top third open for light, and the bottom two-thirds closed for privacy. Mike brought in the product samples and explained the construction of each. He was very meticulous in making sure the color white that I picked was the best white to match all of the wood trim in my home. The installers that he uses were also great! They arrived on time and worked very efficiently and effectively. Mike explained the process and the time frame, so that there would be no surprises, and he delivered on everything that he said he would. I give Mike Hewitt high marks in every area; consultation, measuring, setting of expectations, installers, and follow-up. more

This was for the selection and installation of veritcal blinds. I don't like vertical blinds nor curtains. And I didn't like the fact that panels would obstruct as much of the window view as they would have when open. I took a very, very long time to decide on what I ended up going with, drumroll please, vertical blinds :). Even though I took a very, very long time, the owner (Mike, who does the measuring) was very patient with me. I had been a previous customer already: I had gotten shutters and vertical real wood blinds for my parents' condo. (A job for a much larger sum.) Andy installed the blinds. He is a very casual and approachable person, though still very professional: communicates well, neat, tidy, respectful of your space. He took as much time as was needed to install the blinds just right. I woud not hesitate to have him come and install blinds again! more

We had new blinds installed on all the windows in our house. Great - they were extremely patient with us as we took a long time to explore a bunch of options and debate things like wood vs faux and color and style. They also took the time to explain all the options and examine an old plantation shutter we had and whether we would be able to match it ever or if we should just take it down and put up matching blinds. more

His installer was fast and professional, and best of all, I really love everything we got.
