Buda Texaco Express Lube

Went to this place yesterday to wash my car. I always have to go next door to the lube shop to get my money back. After not getting it, they called the Buda Police dept and told them I said I had a gun in car. I don't even own one or like them. While I was washing my car the police came and handcuff me and after going thur my car let me go. I have never been more upset a a company because they lied and had that happen to me. They still owe me $1.50. All of this happened over that small amount of money. more

My husband took our car to this place to get it inspected. Its close to home so we figured why not. First they called someone up that had arrived there after he did and serviced them first. When they finally did take the car for the tests, I had to send him a text message asking him to please hurry home because I threw my back out and I couldnt get up off the floor. When he went to see what was taking so long, he found the employee chatting it up and giggling with his buddies there in the shop!! He then asked them what the hold up was and the employee obviously did not like being interrupted while he was having a good time with his fellow employee.. Instead of putting the sticker on that he had in his hand, filled out and ready to go, He told my husband that the horn sounded ""muffled"" and that our window tint should be ""20"" and ours was ""25"" We have NEVER had any problems getting our car inspected with the window tint... And the ""horn sounding muffled""???? Come on!!!! If my husband hadnt asked them what the hold up was because he had to come home and help his sick wife up off the floor, he would have passed our car! And we wouldnt have had to waste the 15.00 it took for them to drive the car around with his terrible body odor leaving all our windows down and filling up our car with his funk and grease! more

I got an inspection and an oil change today and i was out in less then 20 min. I couldent believe how fast they were. Ive been to jiffy lube and other places and they try to sell me b/s every time i go there. This place dident. I really liked the fast and honest service. I will be going there for now on ! more

I was trying to get my inspection at a place in Buda that had Kwik in their name. I thought it ment they might have been quick. Well i was wrong !!! I waited there for 2 hours and still couldent get my inspection. I finally left and went up the road to the express lube. They had me out within 20 min. My day was saved by them. Thank you guys : ) more

The service here was great.. I quit bringing my buissness here a while back because they had an old guy working there doing inspections, he was very rude. Looks like he was removed from there and they also got rid of alot of the other guys. The guys there now were very nice and knew what they were doing. They are still not set up for inspections because they said they are still waiting on dps to due the change over due to the new ownership there, They did my oil change and they dident try to sell me things I dident need like a place i went to down the street did. The car wash also worked great this time. I WILL BE BRINGING ALL MY CARS AND FAMILY THERE FOR NOW ON . Thank you Buda Texaco for all your good and nice service. more

We've lived in Buda for 7 years and used to go there when nothing else was really open in the area. About two years ago I went in for a state inspection and they gave me an oil change instead. Then I had to wait longer for the inspection to be completed. I had to pay for the oil change even though it was their mistake. The lady that works behind the counter is really nice but we stopped using this place after that. It has always been hit or miss with the service. more

I recently moved to Texas from another state and I needed to get a Texas inspection in order to change my tags/title over. I went to this place because it was right off the interstate and pretty convenient. First of all, when I pulled up the group of ""mechanics"" working there were all inside watching TV and the one who managed to wander his lazy ass out to see what I needed seemed particularly annoyed that I decided to bring them business. The first thing he told me was that I had to make sure my insurance met Texas standards for the amount of liability coverage and it didn't say it on the card I had. So, I called my insurance company and had it verified that it was up to Texas standards. After that, this moron told me that my insurance company had to be based in Texas in order to qualify for an inspection and mine was based in Pennsylvania, so he couldn't do it. I told him that was absolutely not true because major insurance companies, like Geico or Progressive, are headquartered in state's other than Texas, and there's no way I'm going to believe that no one in Texas has one of their policies. He got pretty annoyed when I pointed out his BS, and then told me it was ""company policy"" for them not to do any out-of-state inspections. He then proceeded to waddle back inside and join his fellow, lazy ass comrades for an afternoon of watching TV, evidently oblivious to the fact that they are running a (sh*tty) business. I will not patronize these idiots again, and I encourage no one else to either. more

I called the Texaco Express Lube in Buda earlier this week to find out what time they did inspections. I was told that as long as I am there by 5:00, I could get an inspection. Well, I got there at 4:25, and as I was walking in, the man doing the inspections said very rudely ""Hello, did you see the yellow sign out front? it says we do inspections until 5:00"" I said ""ok? well, it's 4:30"" He said there were two other cars in front of me and he wouldn't be able to get to mine and to come back another time. I left, disgusted, and will never go back there again. This was the second chance I had given them, because way back when they switched from Shell to Texaco, I went in to have an oil change and pay with my Shell card. They had changed the building, but I saw the highway billboard that still said Shell, so I wasn't sure if they had fully changed yet. When I asked about it, one of the JERKS they had working in the shop said ""Do you see a Shell on this building? No, we don't take your card anymore."" I don't know if being an uncouth ape is a prerequisite for employment there or if they just have bad luck with hiring creeps. Anyway, unless you like to be mistreated by grease monkeys, stay away from that place!!! I'll take my business to 4-way auto in Kyle, they do inspections and the people were VERY friendly and helpful, even when I just asked questions about the inspection.
