Editorial review from Citysearch 6/1/2013

While working at buckys I was appalled. Id say 50% if not more of there profits are from customers being lied to!...seen it thy sell you an engine sayin your timing belt broke...or sell you services and not do them...ya I'm sure the previous guy got great deal on his service probably it wasn't done. Day and night plumbing I seen them get ripped off by the lies that never seems to be the right fix. Town and country building company got there hybrid car done there it ended up at the dealer after breaking down I don't think there coolant was flushed but thy paid for it as well as there tranny issues from buckys techs touching it..if you want to pay for poor diagnosis find a homeless guy that needs food you may get it done right...thy also yelp themselves to look better ....ya if my company was all bout stealing with lies and services sold but not getting done I'd get friends or family to post good ratings ya there's always few that gets the obvious fixes dne right , but I wouldn't take my moms car here!!!!!! That's for sure let alone a lawn mower for an oil Change!!!!....heather Williams nail em right I was told by Dennis himself to also buy cheapest parts and Mark up price that most time more than dealer part ....also I've seen them spray wd40 on shocks and steal anthr grand from you for there bonuses..you can definitely be ripped off right the first time.. more

NOT TO BE TRUSTED 10/28/2011

Bucky's corporate must teach their people how scam because Joey, the service writer, is as good as they come. He'd sell you a new motor if you just needed new spark plugs. He's got no conscience. Even if you get your quote in writing, he'll come up with something else to add. This is one of the dirtiest shops I've ever seen too. Mechanics smoking in the shop. Grease all over the inside of my car when I got it back and Joey swore up and down it wasn't his mechanics who did it (apparently I had grease on my feet, pants, shirt, arms, hands etc because there was a ton of grease all over my seats, carpets, steering wheel and console. more

The manager, Joey, is a sociopath. 10/28/2011

I can't believe this is part of a franchise. One would think there were rules they had to abide by in order to use the name, Bucky's. Apparently, there isn't. Joey will rob you every chance he gets. He doesn't stand behind his mechanics' work (or lack thereof) and he's constantly passing the blame to other people. This is the place that gives auto repair shops a bad name and Joey is a big reason. He thinks people are ignorant and tries to sell them stuff they don't need. You'll be MUCH happier if you don't go here. more

Do not go here...Joey, the service writer is a scammer. 10/27/2011

Why didn't I check Citysearch before I took my car to Bucky's? Just as EVERYONE has mentioned, Joey is a scammer. He will tell you whatever it is he thinks you want to hear to get you to leave your car there. Once he has it, consider it held for ransom. I had my car towed there because I was having transmission issues. Joey, in his infinite wisdom, said that I needed to get a transmission flush for $130. Joey said he'd call me first thing in the morning since I had to leave it there overnight. He said he'd let me know if that had fixed the issue or if we needed to dig deeper. Well, at 4:00pm the next day I called there because I hadn't heard from Joey. When I inquired about my car, Joey says that he lost my phone number - something about the ""cleaning lady must have thrown it away"". I thought, why isn't my information in your computer system? Anyways, Joey says, ""It looks like you're going to need a new transmission."" I was kinda shocked and asked what lead to that decision. He ranted on and on about how it's cheaper to replace the entire thing than it is to fix the issue. When I asked what codes his scanner picked up, he said a shift solenoid fault. To make a long story short, that one code was enough to tell him that I needed a new transmission at a cost of $2500 (and that was for a used one). I showed up to talk in person to see if I could get a ""read"" on this guy. What I found when I arrived was appalling. An extremely dirty environment, mechanics smoking IN THE SHOP while they are tinkering on cars and a service writer who thinks his Sh*t doesn't stink (Joey). I immediately came to the conclusion that I was going to be taking my car back regardless of what Joey thought. After having to give Joey my phone # and information again so he could enter it into his system (he must have lost it again - or he is stealing from the owner by not entering customers' information into the software system until he sees if the customer pays in cash) I paid $130 w/ CC for a worthless transmission flush. Here's where it gets really good... When the mechanic drives my car around front, the first thing I see is greasy fingerprints all over my hood, my door handle, my tan center console, tan leather seats, tan carpet, tan door jam and a greasy tool that the mechanic left in my car in the cup holder! The mechanic who drove it had on rubber gloves that were COVERED in grease so I checked my tan leather steering wheel too...yep, grease on both sides. I asked to talk to Joey who hid in the shop for 5 minutes before coming out to talk to me - he's such a coward. He says, ""Can I help you with something?"" - as if the person who I asked hadn't briefed him on the situation. I pointed at all the grease on/in my car and his immediate response, ""Yeah, those tow truck drivers don't use mats."" When I said, ""What about the steering wheel, the seat, the center console, the hood etc."" He says, ""My guys didn't do that."" I said, ""So you're going to pass the blame over to the tow truck driver??"" He says, ""How do you know my guys did that?"" I said, (with an increasingly frustrated tone) ""I just watched your guy covered in grease get out of my car, leave his tools in there etc. How can YOU be so sure it wasn't them?"" He said, ""We use mats."" At this point I came to the conclusion that Joey is a Neanderthal who speaks his own language. If you go decide to take your car to Bucky's for ANY service, especially after reading these reviews, I'm going to look forward to reading YOUR review. :) more

Good Honest Auto Repair 12/19/2010

All Around Great experience 11/29/2010

All around a great experience. I appreciated that they did not try to sell repairs that may not have been necessary. Highly Recommend to anyone looking for same day service and decent prices. more

Worth The Wait 11/29/2010

I Love this place! Everyone is so nice and friendly. The Manager was so helpful! It was a bit of a wait, but its got to say something about the stores reputation if they are always that busy. To me its worth the wait. I will never go to another shop again. Thanks Buckys!! more

Nothing but good service! 10/28/2010

We have been taking are cars to Bucky's in Lynnwood for a few years now. It is hard to find a place that will do an oil change for a low price and get it done the same day. more

Great Service!! 10/8/2010

My car was over heating and I took it into Bucky's in Lynnwood off of 99. However for all the cars I use to own I have always just taken my personal vehicle to the dealer for any repairs. I decided to give Bucky's a try because where I work they take their fleet vehicles there. \r \r What I liked is that they fixed my car the same day and when it was done I did not have to call them to find out the status of the repair they gave me plenty of notice when it was complete to pick up my vehicle. I also appreciated, since I am not much of a car guy, that they did not try to over complicate or over sell repairs that may not have been necessary.\r \r Bottom line: I felt I was treated fair for a good price and got good service the same day my car broke down. more

Theives!!! 4/22/2010

Charged me for work that was NEVER done...Then, after over 3 months of investigations from my bank, the better business bureau and the WA State Attorney Generals Office, I was refunded my $ from my bank. Thank Goodness! However Buckys wasn't happy with that. So what did they do? They reported me to a collection agency! Tried to tell them I owed the money PLUS INTEREST! These people are a real piece of work! Even when proven wrong, they still try to cheat you! I had to contact the collection agency, send them ALL of my proof and documentation and it's been cleared from my name. I highly suspect this will be an ongoing thing with them though, so I will keep my documentation in a safe spot and consider sueing Buckys for slander if they keep falsely reporting me! These people have an ""F"" rating for very good reason people! Check the BBB! Pros: N/A Cons: Lie, Cheat and Steal! more

Worst Repair shop Ever. Nightmare Experience 6/15/2009

Ive been here before for an oil change before and they did the job OK so when I needed my exhaust fixed I thought Id give them another try. They fixed the exhaust and a few months later it started leaking from the manifold/head pipe flange, I took it back and told them what was wrong and the tech took a look at it, came back to the manager and said that 2 of the three bolts were gone. The manager then accused me of going ""off-roading"" because my truck is a 4x4, I told him that no that wasn't correct and after he grilled me again he agreed to put the two bolts back in and tack-weld them in place. After about three hours of waiting I asked the manager what was taking so long and he replied ""were just taking our time, don't you take your time when you work on your car"" inferring that because I'm not willing to wait 1 hour per bolt that I would rush my work. After another hour I went outside to see if I could talk to the tech. I asked him if the car was giving him problems he replied ""lil bit, lil bit"". I asked him if he had broken a bolt he replied, ""lil bit lil bit"" Another 1/2 hour, it was obvious to me they were trying to cover they're butt and I approached the assistant manager and asked her if they were having problems and if she could give me any information. She talked to the tech and finally told me that they had broken the 1 bolt that was still left when i had pulled in. They hadn't made any progress at all in 4 1/2 hours. She told me I would probably need to leave it overnight and I explained that I totally understood but I would absolutely need the car in two days. She then arranged a ride from one of the techs so I could get home. Thank You So I give them a call two days later and he quotes me $350 for a new manifold or they can only weld the flange shut. I explained to him that I expected to have the bolt drilled out and retapped. He told me that my truck was so old and had so many miles that it wasn't worth it, he had already put 11 man-hours into the truck (I highly doubt this) FYI: he didnt know how old OR how many miles were on it. He then went through the I've been doing this for so many years and wheres your certifications spiel"" I just told him to put it back together and I would deal with what they had done to my exhaust by myself. I later called the district supervisor and after arguing with him he agreed to replace the manifold at half price labor. I wonder how many of those bolts they would break. I don't think so Bucky's your never touching any of my cars ever again. I wouldn't even trust these guys to fill my washer fluid. BUYER BEWARE! Pros: Cheap Cons: I feel violated after leaving this place more

Rip Off, guess they have to bill a certain amount every day - so be aware. 5/3/2008

After having a vehicle there for a specific fix and having something else fixed and told the problem was fixed (noise under vehicle in idle) I am disgusted. Three times they found something to charge me for, but never fixed the problem it was originally taken there for. Today, after another $150, was told it was test driven and was fixed, got in started it up and the noise was still there, so the tech said ""Well I don't know what it is"". I am fed up and would never recommend this place to anyone, EVER. Of course, no warranty on the problem fix. more

do not take your car here!!!! 1/25/2007

I took my car to get my radiator leak fixed. I was there for 5 hours waiting as I had to . I got the part myself and they had to put it in. My car is older. I did not know until I went to add windshield wiper fluid to my car..that the resevoir is missing and that it was broken off. I had been out of water for a while . It was there before I took my car in. I had not opened the hood till I decided to check the fluid. They denied that they took it out or misplaced it and said it was not there.. They charged me a smaller fee than I was expecting..so this probably explains why..When I called at first ..they said this was not something they would do..They refused to replace it . They should of been upfront about them breaking it or whatever made them not put it back in. Windshield wiper resevoirs do not just fall out. I dont recommend these people at all! Dirty waiting room and bathroom. Pleasant at first.. and I have to admit they charged less than I expected..but now I have to replace my resevoir and pump..either the manager or the tech who worked on my car is dishonest.. The manager said the tech did not lose it.I am furious with them !!! more

Bad Experience 10/20/2006

Although the techs seem nice enough, the management is horrible. I brought my vehicle there for an oil change and was quoted a price when I dropped my vehicle (which was also on a coupon I had.) When I went to pick up my car, the invoice had a higher figure. I was told by the manager that this was due to my oil filter being more expensive. Understood - but shouldnt I have been told this in advance? In any case, they were very unprofessional and tried to humiliate me in front of the other customers. I wound up having to pay it in the end in order to get my car.... I would not recommend this place to an enemy. more
