Best Butt Kicking Ever! 10/29/2010

Ariane kicks butt as a nutritionist and trainer. I never met anyone so caring that will take a personal interest in you to make sure you're acheiving your goals. The Brooklyn Bridge Boot Camp pushes me more than I could ever do on my own. I love the view on the bridge and the workout is the highlight of my day! Join us!! more

An Awesome Workout! 10/29/2010

I started taking bootcamp with Ariane last summer and it's an absolutely great class! It's a fun and challenging workout, and great for any fitness level, classes have included both triathletes and newcomers to the fitness community, so anyone can benefit. I love the classes at the bridge, but it gets crowded on the weekends, so watch out for bikers! There's also no place to leave bags so only bring what you can carry. Otherwise, it's a great deal on a hardcore yet enjoyable workout. more

Trade Fat for Muscle 10/29/2010

Ariane's outdoor and indoor classes can change your body, mental outlook, and overall energy quickly. I have taken part in her outdoor Brooklyn Bridge Boot Camp classes for awhile now. Ariane finds ways to keep the classes fresh with different exercises that target specific muscles. The added dimension of a cardiovascular workout to complement the muscle work makes this a total workout. Plus, the view across the Brooklyn Bridge and back can't be beat. Her indoor 'Slim and Strong' classes I find even more challenging. Each class she focuses on a different major muscle group: abs one time, shoulders chest biceps another, gluts and quads the next. She has a way of pushing you well beyond what you would do on your own, but the charm is that her energy is always positive and encouraging, rather than merely tough. It doesn't bother me to be one of the only guys in the class. Everyone is equal there and working to look their best. More guys are coming now though. One thing I've taken to heart is that Ariane claims that at least 70% of losing weight and replacing it with muscle is related to your nutrition, and she provides materials to help you meet that end of the equation, which is essential as you get older and your metabolism slows. Brooklyn Bridge Boot camp ROCKS!!! 10/28/2010

I must start my review by saying that Ariane is a genius! She developed an awesome program of exercise that is different, challenging and most importantly, fun. Mind you, i was never a fitness junkie nor an advanced exercise fanatic! I was a regular chubby Mediterranean girl trying to adopt a healthier life style and trying to lose weight! But Ariane got me hooked to boot camp! more

The BEST butt kicking hour of your life! 10/28/2010

Where do I begin?!?! You should know that this class is good hard fun! The outdoor classes have you jogging across the bridge, with some stops along the way...for some push ups, squats and lunges (and some crazy moves with resistance bands). It is challenging, but you feel so fantastic when you are done! I have never felt that great after leaving a class at my regular gym. Totally energizing! Ariane is a fantastic trainer and is really inspiring. She reminds you how much of your endurance is mental - and that you are stronger than you think you are. She encourages you to go beyond your comfort zone and makes you push yourself. I have been exercising on and off for years, and I feel like these classes have allowed me to tap into strength I didn't know that I had! It is also really easy to sign up for classes online - no gym membership required! One more thing....it is the NICEST group of people to work out with. Everyone is smiling while they struggle, cracking jokes and has fun together. There is no competitive attitude going on, which is a real bonus. I REALLY look forward to my bootcamp classes, which for me (someone who really doesn't like running) is a BIG deal. See you on the bridge! more

This is hands-down one of the toughest workouts out there, and I say that as a fitness junkie. What's nice about Ariane's classes are that you feel like a million bucks afterwards unlike some of the crazy boot camps that just leave you in pain and immobile for a few days. more

BROOKLYN BRIDGE BOOT CAMP - WOW! A+++!! 10/28/2010

Brooklyn Bridge Boot Camp is a unique and superb exercise program. Run by Ariane Hundt, a vivacious, inspiring, 30-something fitness buff, she leads by example. The hour-long workout on the Bridge is a rigorous combination of aerobic and resistance work that is impossibly difficult at first but with regular attendance, magically becomes easier and eventually is actually doable. Her indoor Slim & Strong classes are similarly incredible fun and very intense (she advises bringing a towel to class - for that puddle that inevitably forms during the workout!). Additionally, there are added features - before and after photos, regular measurement of weight, body fat and waist, hip, thigh, etc. circumferences and Nutrition classes. She really gets to know her clients and their issues and in a lighthearted, fun way, she commands adherence and GETS RESULTS. And, so uncommon in the fitness world, she REALLY cares about her clients and their progress. While her focus is on nutrition and resistance/aerobic exercise, she deeply understands the mind-body connection and how we stress-crazed New Yorkers sabotage our health with sedentary lifestyles and mindless eating. Her classes motivate change and reinforce positive health, nutrition and fitness behavior until these changes become habitual. I can't recommend her highly enough! more
