Editorial review from Citysearch 6/5/2013

I bought a pair of sunglasses that were too large per the recommendation of a worker at Broadway Eyeworks. Once the optometrist saw how much of a horrible fit they were he returned them for a smaller pair, I paid the difference for the switch. My bill was up to about 500 by now. I had the sunglasses for 2 months before they started to fall apart and became loose (which happened because of him using the heat gun and tightening them over and over since once again, they were too big). The doctor offered to exchange them again and he'd put new lenses in my old frames and give me the difference. \r \r I brought in the $500 pair of sunglasses and EVEN THOUGH he said that he would ""put new frames in my old lenses"" he then said I'd have to give him the $500 tiffany sunglasses without any money back or price adjustments. So basically that crook wanted me to have my old sunglasses, with new lenses (which don't cost $500) and not honor the 1 year warranty from the tiffany company! He would not even let me have my money back for the frames that he broke. I want my money back for the sunglasses and I will go back to my old frames entirely. I cannot believe your company treated a customer like this. Your poorly trained staff was the problem. And ON TOP of it when screws started falling off the glasses the optometrists hands them back saying ""glue still wet, let them dry first"" wow, classy repair.\r \r I've had to be in touch with the Tiffany's company and the Linthotica company who manufactures the frames to try to correct the mistake and return the broken glasses under warranty. DON'T go here. I've filed a complaint with Tiffany's and with the Better Business Bureau, I really hope to have my issue solved. more

ok selection, mediocre service 11/25/2005

Broadway Eye Works is a pretty little store with lots of glass and a faux-luxury look. They have an ok selection of frames, with both high-end and lower-end brands. The service is mediocre - staff just appears to be doing their thing, but not very interested in helping you. Prices are higher than at chains such as Lenscrafters. They have good hours for optometry stores because they're open mall hours, which includes Sundays. more
