outstanding 8/19/2010

Hey everybody, want a fantastic place to eat GO TO BRIGS in Cary. Our family ate there this past weekend and what a great experience. First, super nice staff really friendly. Second, what choices they have on the menu, we had the special benedict the Barcelona and it was outrageous, my daughter chose the blackberry pancakes they were full of plump berries and served with special syrup. The place was packed when we got there but the staff somehow manages to get you in and out effortlessly, they clearly know what they are doing. When the family comes to town for the holidays we know where to take them for an awesome meal, THANKS BRIGS.,.... more

Love Brigs 1/4/2010

I go to Brigs whenever I'm in town. I bring friends and family quite frequently to show off the nice quite spot with a southern charm! The pancakes are nice and fluffy and the salads are great too! Stop by for a great experience on all levels! Pros: Best pancakes more

Love this place!!! 12/30/2009

I have never had a bad, or even so-so meal at Brigs! Great place for family and very kid-friendly. Love the pancakes, and omelettes. I like supporting a local business, and they always greet us with a smile. Great Job Brigs! Pros: Big Portions, Felt like a ""regular"" Cons: Busy on the Weekends, but worth it. more

What could you have against Brigs? 8/18/2009

This is an All-American Business. They deserve some props for being able to compete against the chains. There may be more than one location but this is definitely not a chain restauraunt! Pros: Courteous, Personal Service, Great Food Cons: Frequently a wait on Sundays...That is because the food is g more

Cold and Rude 8/13/2009

Some of these reviews must be fake! How in the world can this place claim to serve ""food""? These so called honest reviewers are either the owners or people who have no sense of taste or smell. This is nothing more than an over-hyped greasy spoon! The ""food"" was cold and soaked in oil and the server was RUDE! Enough said. Hey if you want to risk it and waste your money go ahead but my advice is go anywhere but Brigs. Cons: Cold food, cold atmosphere, rude staff more

WONDERFUL RESTAURANT!!!! 8/12/2009

My family and I happened to be driving on Maynard Rd looking for somewhere to eat. We happened upon Brigs Restaurant. We were greeted by a lovely woman who turned out to be the owner. She showed us to our table and we were immediately waited upon and before we knew it, the food had already arrived. It was absolutely delicious. My wife had a pancake combo, and I had to try some. They were fluffy and yummy! My daughter tried their works omelette, which looked excellent and was loaded with good stuff. My son had a child's meal which was a perfect amount for a little one. A single pancake, with a choice of two sides. They decided to go with breakfast for dinner, but I tried the BLTC which was firebaked and served open faced. it was large and a little daunting, but I ate every bite and it was worth it! Also, the price was right. The bill, for four people with full meals and drinks, ended up being barely $30. You can't beat that. The owner said she hoped we'd come back, and I said we definitely would. I know its hard to eat out these days with $$, but if you can only eat out once a week or even once a month. Choose Brigs Restaurant in Cary. You won't be disappointed. Pros: Delicious Food, Affordable Prices Cons: None. Everything was really great. more

Fake Review of the Month Club ! 8/10/2009

Come on People ! ....this is so freakin' obvious. Such a futile attempt to build your rep after a damming review! Both of the last two reviews were created by Brigs staff, with both profiles created on the same say as the review! Hello .....!!!! how stupid can you be? How about spending your energy making better food and providing better service? Pros: Still Thinking Cons: Fabrication of the Facts Resulting in a State of Confusion more

best in town 8/9/2009

My girlfriends and I met Saturday morning at Brigs in Cary and had the best time. Though the place was crowded we never felt rushed by the staff, from the warm greeting from the tall dark haired host to the sweet guy that waited on us we just had a fun morning. Our food was hot and very generous and plenty of it. You can tell lots of people are regulars but even we neebies felt welcome. This is going to be our ""girls morning out place"" it's awesome. Thanks Brigs Restaurant for a great meal. Pros: nice atmosphere, awesome service Cons: none it rocks more

best breakfast in town WOW 8/9/2009

Today my family and I ate at Brigs Restaurant. We were a large group and were worried about being seated quickly, no fear in that though, the host staff is so efficient they got us in very quickly even tho the restaurant was packed. Our service was perfect what a lovely server we had. As far as the food goes I can understand why this place keeps winning award after award. our meals were perfect. Several of us had eggs benedict and it was fantastic and the blackberry pancakes perfection. When we were finishing up the owner stopped by to ask how everything was and we told her this is our new favorite place to eat Pros: friendly service hometown feel Cons: crowded on weekends but worth it more

No Standards 8/6/2009

This place should not be able to claim they are a restaurant! This is a greasy spoon that makes you wait in long lines...unless you are a regular of course. Funny...who would be a regular at this place? YUCK, the food is terrible but so is the service. There is nothing good about this place. Cons: slop on a plate more

Cold Terrible Food 8/4/2009

The food is terrible! Why is this place still in business? We can't believe people eat here and then return. The food was stone cold, terrible, and greasy. The server was horrible and rude. Customers should have some standards and this place does not meet even the lowest of standards. We will never return. Cons: food, service, atmosphere more

The customer is never right 8/4/2009

It is a shame that another restaurant bites the dust when it comes to customer service. With the struggling economy one would think that customer service would be the #1 priority for owners of any service oriented business. Let me assure you that Briggs has no interest in serving the customer. Perhaps its a combination of being in business for a while and having those loyal customers that the owner has gotten complacent, whatever the reason she is making a mistake. There is no need to go into the whole story but the simple facts are there were four adults sitting down trying to have an enjoyable breakfast and instead were all scared and wondering what in the world they did to receive such a mean and horrible attitude the entire time. The other major point is the server yelled at one of the customers as well as ran outside after her. Having a terrible experience there I decided to speak with the owner in hopes of clearing things up and giving feedback which one would think is important to an owner of a business. The owner had no interest in hearing what happened, instead went on to assure me that the server was a wonderful person and would never be fired. It was never the intent to have anyone fired, the intent was to inform the owner so the owner can help the server become better and improve. The owner was not in the restaurant at the time so her only knowledge of this incident was speaking on the phone to the server first and then to me. I had every intention of clearly stating the facts but it was evident that the moment the owner called me her mind was made up. Certainly there are positive things about supporting your staff and standing behind them, it is quite another to ignore paying customers all together. Luckily there are numerous restaurants in this area that have great service and serve a tasty meal. I will never step foot into Briggs again and even though the amount of money my family normally would have spent there is not huge, I would rather spend it elsewhere purely out of principal. Shame on the owner for not being better, she should always be striving to improve her staff so in turn the customers stay loyal. I thought that was business 101. Cons: Lack of service more

unfortunate experience 8/4/2009

Our table server was aweful! Not only did she do a bad job serving us, she had a nasty attitude as well. The worst part, was that when we spoke to the owner, she was dismissive and had no interest in our experience at her restaurant. I will never go there again. Cons: terrible service!!!! more

Wonderful salads 7/22/2009

Each month Brigs has specials in several food categories and in July they have spotlighted a Southwest salad. It is truly remarkable! If it were on their permanent menu, I would order it each time I was there and my husband and I are there every Sunday that we are in town. The flavors blend so well together and it is so filling that it could easily be divided for two meals. Keep up the great work, Brigs\r \r Jan Wozniak! Pros: Best staff in town more

Wonderful Breakfast 1/11/2009

This is a really great family breakfast place. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, and they made my mouth water. They were HUGE, though, so I couldn't even really eat half of them. Our waitress was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this as a good, local comfortable breakfast joint. Pros: Great food, very good service, good for the price Cons: Ambience is average more

Mediocre 1/5/2009

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, so I was excited about going to Briggs since I've heard so much about it. Unfortunately my experience was not the best, but I think it had to do with my waitress. I ordered hot chocolate and by the time she brought it to me it was cold. I ordered waffles, but by the time she brought it to me the strawberries made my waffle soggy and the whipped cream melted. Then I asked for butter (what was I thinking??) and by the time she brought it my waffle was cold. The person I was with had an omlet and it was good, his cubed potatoes were good too. So I think my experience would have been better if not for the waitress. Pros: cheap, good selection Cons: bad service more
