my dog lived to almost 20 years human, The doctors are the best they are real pet lovers and I wish they were a little bit less expensive. So if you have a lot of extra money and you want personal service this is the best vet office ever more

Could not be happier with their service 7/18/2011

This hospital has always been first class when caring for my foster dogs. They are so compassionate and kind to the dogs and making an appointment is easy- they always do their best to squeeze you in. \r \r When my foster dogs are adopted, I always suggest (if local) that they continue their care at brighton animal hospital because I know my little ones are in good hands. I can't thank them enough (especially Dr. V) for the miracles he has performed on my special little dogs :) more

Fr. Foley REally cares about your Pet/ Family Member 12/15/2010

Dr. Foley will always be our angel sent from God. He performed a miracle operation while others sent us away more

Sara 9/13/2010

Our dog needed emergency surgery last week because her uterus had ruptured and she developed peritinitis. The staff and doctors at Brighton Animal Hospital worked nothing short of a miracle in responding quickly and nursing our beloved pet back to health. The dedication of everyone there and the sensitivity to our family's concern and fear were beyond belief. Dr. Minor's responsiveness and genuine consideration made the whole experience bearable and we are delighted to say that our dog, Sweetie, is coming home today! I would not hesitate to send any family who cares about their pets well being to Brighton Animal Hospital because I believe the care they provide is unmatched in this area. THANK GOD for Brighton Animal Hospital. more

Very Impressed! 7/7/2010

I work with a dog rescue and in doing so have visited most area vets. I must say that the personal service and compassion that Dr. Foley showed to one of our rescue dogs has surpassed every other vet I have seen. I was so impressed, that I am now switching my own dog to Brighton animal hospital. You do not find caring service like that anywhere now a days! He does not push unnecessary medications, preventatives or procedures, like so many other vets do. Making an appointment was quick and painless and we were escorted into an exam room before we could walk away from the counter. And, of course, the sick dog we brought in made a drastic recovery after his treatment. I am very very very impressed and would recommend BAH to anyone! Pros: Very Compassionate, personal service, no long waits Cons: Prices are average more

Great for dogs, not so much for cats 5/29/2010

I love Brighton Animal Hospital -- for dogs. Their vets are knowledgeable, their price are lower than many in the area, and the customer service is prompt and professional. I take my dogs there. But I take my cats to Cats n Critters. Here's why: BAH still uses an outdated protocol -- vaccinating in the neck, not the leg. The potential risk is Vaccine Related Sarcoma, which happens at the injection site. If a kitty contracts it, a leg can be removed. A neck can't and the kitty has to be put down. So ... highly recommended for dogs, not so much for cats. Take your cats to a feline specialist. more

Good vets 5/24/2010

I have seen several vets there and they are all very good. The staff is also good. No complaints. Pros: No long waiting Cons: Little hard to find at first more

Fantastic Care- Reasonable Rates 11/6/2008

We've had 2 dogs over the past 14 years being treated at BAH. We have had nothing but great care for our animals and kindness toward us. When one of our dogs had to be put down 2 years ago, we felt very supported by the staff. I know many other people that take pets there and they all rave about it. The rates for many procedures are much lower than at the larger hospitals in the area. In fact, my brother brought his dog all the way from Baltimore for surgery that would have been more than 2x the cost at their vet. Pros: Attention to animals, nice to humans, fair costs. more

Dedicated vets 9/22/2008

I have been taking my dog and cats there for several years. Each and every person who works there always seems to be patient, dedicated and interested in you and your pet. We recently had to gently send Kitty to kitty heaven. We were devastated and Dr. Foley was just wonderful. I can't say enough great things about Scott, Pete, Mike, Colleen, Linda, Chris and all who work there! Thank you for your professionalism and kindness. more

A really great practice for anyone with a pet 5/7/2008

Now that I live in NC I really appreciate what a great place Brighton Animal Hospital is. It has took me 3 years to find a vet here in Charlotte, NC that I like as well.\r \r When my Borzoi Minton had a neck injury, Dr Foly tried traditional steroid treaments first, but when that didn't fix the issue he recomended the canine chiropracter (not at the Brighton practice) to help him.\r \r I never had him recomend a test that wasn't needed or make me feel rushed and when we needed treatment he worked with me to develop a plan that fit with my wishes/needs (my guys are show dogs) and that is hard to find in human doctors let alone a vet! more

Mufassa 11/6/2007

I just want to say the vets and staff at Brighton are wonderful people. They did every thing possible to make mufassa comfortable in his last days.Dr Foly was willing to come to the house to make a visit and even offered to have him pts at home. They stayed with me and gave me support and wisdom when all others failed. more

Knowledgeable, friendly staff 11/16/2006

We have a greyhound and a chow-shepherd and we go to Brighton Animal Hospital because they were recommended for greyhound care. They are the best, and we have often boarded both dogs for several days without incident, no flees! They have prompt service, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and care that goes the extra mile. I highly recommend them. Pros: Knowledgeable, friendly staff, parking, boarding more

Judge for Yourself 11/15/2006

My pets have been patients at BAH for well over 5 years. Granted, I don't have a cat and have never taken one there, but over the years 4 of my dogs have had check-ups, shots and surgeries here; they have all come home fine and have never come home with fleas. At my request, Dr. Foley came to my house to euthanize my dear old dog, that's how caring this facility is. I have never had a bad experience here, everyone is wonderful to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to ever recommend this hospital for any pet. Pros: Knowledgeable, friendly staff; hours 7 days/week, night hours 2x per week more

FLEAS AT BRIGHTON!!! 3/29/2006

I took my cat to Brighton for a de-clawing. He had to spend the night there. Keep in mind he is an indoor cat...never has been outdoors. We brought him home, and after a few days we noticed that our dog was scratching alot. I took him to Brighton and was told he possibly had allergies. I bought a spray to help it. Well a month passed, and I noticed worms in my cats stool. I researched how he may have gotten worms, and it is caused by ingesting fleas. It all made sense. I am 100% certain that he got the fleas at Brighton during his overnight stay. Of course they deny it and blame it on my dog...who only goes outside to go to the bathroom. DO NOT RISK TAKING YOUR ANIMAL THERE. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MESS THAT I AM DEALING WITH NOW! more
