Brick's Restaurant is popular because of it's tall wall of bricks (hence, the name) that allows you to eat outside without having to put up with the Santa Maria wind. Other than that, I am not sure why people like it so much. I have eaten there twice and was not impressed either time. The first time, I got clam chowder and it was actually curdled and completely rotten. I decided that it was probably a fluke and gave them one more try. The second time, the food wasn't rotten thankfully, but it definitely was not great. I wouldn't recommend Bricks. There are other outdoor places to eat or you could just eat inside somewhere and get a much better meal.
