You would think, well I'm not expecting great food but I'm sure it'll be worth the money. No it's not. You get bad food at pretty high prices. It was just not good at all. There are hundreds of other pubs on long island that have much better food and prices. Don't go here . I just ate at Brick?s for the first time and it was not good. The commercial gets ?em in but the food will not bring them back. I know I will not be dining there anymore. The people are nice enough but the bottom line is the taste of the food, and if you know food, good tasting food, then this is not the place to eat. The honey mustard dressing was mayonasiey and fatty. The rice pudding was watery and tasteless. The baked potato was cold, empty and hard, now how do you mess up a potato? The diet soda tasted stale and cheap. I actually wouldnt mind spending a little more money knowing the food was fresh and tasted good. I think they need a visit from Gordan Ramsey. They need to spend less money on Radio commericals and maybe more on rennovations and get some fresh foods on the menu. This place needs an overhaul starting with the food. The Brick is a nice hideaway where you can enjoy great food at decent prices. There is always a family member there as well as a nice staff of waitresses. I recently did not enjoy a burger but was told the cook can get quite upset as he has been there for years so I did not complain\r but I should have. Maybe it is time to change the cook if he is that sensitive. The atmosphere is very nice. Too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter but all in all, my wife and kids enjoyed. The Brick's burger has my vote. The burger is handmade and freshly grilled on a bbq of some sort giving it a smokey flavor. It comes served on a bed of lettuce and a fresh english muffin. In my opnion, it is clearly the best burger joint in all of Long Island. It is a quiet pub located on a hidden street in Lynbrook.
