I have been going here for years after paws sent me there, I liked how they were looking after my pet, treating him and being able to deal with his dislike of them. They always tell me whats wrong with my dog after doing a complete check up on him, get right to the point. My dog has seizures and thanks to them my dog has been seizure free since putting him on the right medicine. I know it's all about money with these tips, they have just been screwed to many times on non payment, do you blame them for protecting their business. I don't. I know it cost a lot to see vets, no medical insurance right, well they have to protect their business, they can't afford to have someone just to make calls on money, so they make sure it's never a issue. As far as the vet being good he is great. more

A good place to go. 4/16/2012

I recently discovered that my dog had and injury on the side of his head that had become infected. Infections can be deadly...so I took the day off from work. On a recommendation (since my vet had retired) I went to see Dr. Bischak. I was impressed with him and his staff. They were able to juggle appointments to get me in (thus saving me from going to animal emergency). They knew their stuff and quickly got my dog tested and treated. I'm also not a person with a lot of excess money on hand, and found that they were happy to work with me on that. So...though I read through all of the reviews, I didn't find any substance to the negative ones. I think I've found a worthy replacement for Dr. Relling. more

I agree with missylouhoo 4/19/2011

My mom's dog Lucy had a heart attack and when my mom called the the Bremerton Animal Hospital letting them know something serious was wrong and also told them she doesn't have money till the 1st they turned her down and told her to go somewhere else. Luckly she finally found a vet that would take her along with a postated check, plus is billing her the rest. Now despite the fact that Lucy did end up dying the next day Central Valley Animal Hospital never ever turned her down just because she didn't have enough money. To be truthful I took my dog into the Bremerton Animal Hospital because she was biting her back till she was bleeding. I paid all that money and all he did was flea comb her and say there's your problem and send me on my way. Also he asked me why I never got her fixed, I told him that one of his receptionist told me that getting her fixed would kill her mettablizm and she would get fat, he then called me a lier. So I now take my pet to another vet for appointments where I will be given answers instead of more questions but I do still go in for her shots because they seem to be the only vet around that doesn't charge for an appointment just for shots. more

They care about money first 3/24/2011

I had to take my dog to the vet because she had a horrible ear infection that would no got away. She needed new medicine because the first round given did not work. We had spent over $400 treating it the first time and only had about $110 to take care of it before it got worse. Hoping after being loyal customers for 5 years they could take the$110 and let us make payments. They said NO. They cared more about their money than my suffering dog. My sister then took her poodle to them to be treated for a tick bite. They only had a couple hundred for all the tests that needed to be done. They did the work and never let her have her dog back because she couldn't pay it ALL up front. Sent her dog to a shelter and was put down 30 days later because she was not able to adopt it, and nobody else came in to adopt either. Its a horrible play to take an animal. They care more about money then they do the wonderful life you have brought to them. I urge anyone who cares about their animals to please stay away. more

best place for animals! 8/20/2009

the workers at this vet clinic care more about the animals than money. they get right to the point of the problem & execute the problem instead of beating around the table & performing unnecessary tests like other expensive corporate hospitals do. even if its a quick check-up or fixing, the prices are reasonable, & the people working are the friendliest towards their furry patients. people that live in the kitsap county area, this is the place to go to for animal care. (= Pros: great price, caring people Cons: small clinic, tight hours more

Excellent care by expeerienced personnel. 10/30/2006

Excellent Veterinarian and technicians. My dogs have always been happy here. Based on 35 years of business with both dogs and cats. The care is always limited to what is required with no high cost add ons but the care is also effective and no corners are being cut. Pros: Good care by experienced staff. Little or no turnover. Cons: Space limits many "drop in" calls. more
