Breakers Hotel

My family and I just got back from a weekend stay at Breakers in OC MD, while the hotel itself was clean and quiet the staff is rude. The manager was very annoying treated us like we were children, we felt very unwelcomed their the whole time. After a night out on the board walk my 3 children and I were going up the elevator to our room, their was 2 other young ladies and their children that rode up on the elevator with us to go to their room, the elevator stopped on the 2nd floor (which is where the front desk is) the manager was standing there when the door opened and started question us askin us what our room number was, the elev then closed before we could answer. My kids and I got off on the 4th flr, while the other family got off on the 5th flr, 15 mins later the manager knocked on our door, mind you this is at 10pm at night and started grilling me asking how many people I had in my room, I advised her 5 all together, she looked at me as if I was lying and started glaring behind me into the room. She said it looked like too many ppl on the elevator I advised her the other ladies and kids got off on the 5th floor then she started asking me if they had their own room key and asking me questions about them, excuse me??? I didnt know I was a security guard now for your damn hotel. Being harrased by the manager is definatley the ype of vacation I was looking for. Then she had nerve to stalk us the rest of our stay there. Also my childrens ear phones for their ipods went missing coincidently after the maid was in our room to make the bed. We advised the front desk while checking out and they didnt even offer an appology. Dont stay here unless you are looking for stress! more

The actual facility and location is beautiful. We stayed in a corner suite. Very large. Clean. Modern. Here's the bad news...The management/owner was horrendous. We had 4 people in the room and one day we invited a couple friends up to show our room and view to them. We had just stepped into the room when the owner came into our room un-announced (yes entered our room, with no knock or announcement, which I believe is illegal) and started screaming at all of us to get out....Now when I say screaming, I mean at the top of her lungs. She was irrational and rude. She then followed us arround for the rest of the weekend, occassionally screaming at us. We are not kids, I am 36 and are respectful of other guests. She actually locked us out of our room and locked all of our belongings in. All the while, I was speaking rationally and calmly to her. Her behaviour was so outrageous that her employees were apologizing to us, unbeknownst to her. Again, beautiful facility but be prepared to be mistreated by ""big brother"" or in this case ""big sister"" Pros: bad ownership Cons: the ocean...which has nothing to do with the manag more
