Awesome Gymnastics Program 1/4/2008

I have two children in the Break the Barriers gymnastics program, a boy who is 5 and a girl who is 3. They both love it! The staff is incredible and works well with children this age. It is a very positive, relaxed environment for children. My son usually has problems trying new things and trusting new people, but has warmed up to the instructors quickly. He also has several behavior problems that have been issues in daycare/preschool but have not been an issue at all in this program. I think this is because the coaches honestly care about the kids and communicate this in what they do. We love them so much my daughter is starting the dance program there next week and both kids will be in swim lessons this summer. I can't recommend them highly enough! more

Lots of wonderful activities 7/29/2005

This facility has wonderful activities available for children of all ages and capabilities. It is a great place to check out if you have children they offer classes like: swimming, gymanastics, karati, and much more. They have goodc staff that work well with the children and you can tell they care about them. It is a really nice place and I am glad we live close to them and will be taking my children there for years to come. more

  • Break The Barriers, formed in 1987, is a nonprofit organization, including the performing ensemble of students who break all barriers experienced by people with different abilities. It is a combination of performers, ranging in age from 6 years to adult. More than 3,000 students participate in the programs offered at its facility, including students from over eight school districts. The organization has a more than 30,000-square-foot facility, is recognized as the national role model for inclusion, and has broken barriers nationally and internationally. Break the Barriers also offers various programs for persons with disabilities. Various programs offered by the organization include aquatics, art, buddy program, gymnastics, dance, health and fitness, martial arts, and sign language. It is headquartered in Fresno, Calif..
