Very unsanitary and disappointing 3/8/2012

I'm very familiar with Cambria Heights and the local area. When family was visiting NY I suggested we have lunch at Brasserie Creole. The service was okay, but right next to the table in plain sight was 2 roaches. This made the experience very disgusting. When I informed the waitress she simply indicated that also had a fear of roaches and did not offer to change our seats or clean the table. Although the food is good, but the cleanliness is lacking. We will never return to the restaurant. more

Brasserie Creole 4/2/2010

Last weekend I took my parents there for dinner and much to my surprise the service had greatly improved from my last visit.. The servers were polite and well groomed. The food as always was a delight from the appetizers (acras) to the entree (poisson gros sel) which I highly recommend and the rice and beans were out of this world. Pros: The food is excellent especially the fish (poisson gros sel) Cons: The dining area is not intimate enough , too noisy. more

Best Haitian Restaurant! 7/28/2007

Brasserie has been around for a while, which shows how good the service, ambiance and food are. The tassot is off the hook, along with everything else on the menu. You really can't go wrong with anything you order. And if you get a chance, checkout the lounge when a band is playing. Enjoy! more

Great food, strange atmosphere 2/14/2007

The food at this place is great, particularly the fish dishes. Also, Monday nights are ""Bouillon Night,"" where they serve up a delicious Haitian stew, with either goat or crab. It is more appropriate for catering events than private dining, but the food makes it worth suffering through the strange atmosphere. Pros: Great food Cons: Not the best service more
