I saw the bouncer at this bar attack 6/11/2012

I saw the bouncer at this bar attack someone without provocation. Food is good, but I wouldn't risk getting attacked just to watch some sports. Pretty crazy more

Fun Classy Sports Bar 3/12/2012

This friend of mine, Billy booked a party free from these cool guys at AccessGotham. They reserved us terrific seats by the big flat screen for the Knick game. Not only that, but one of the Former Knick players was there. John Starks. He was hot. I got comped yummy Apple Martinis, but the guys drank some scotch and soda. I hear they have trivia on Monday's. more

Lost my credit card 10/7/2011

Went here for happy hour after work. It would seem impossible, but somehow between taking my Visa from our table to the bar the waitress managed to ""misplace"" the card. Seriously? \r \r I never tip less than 20% - and I was considering tipping less than that BEFORE they lost my credit because of their crappy service. Do not go here if you enjoy keeping your credit cards. more

Bounce best bar I've been to in New York City...... 3/24/2011

Hi my name is Carly O and I've been to a lot of venues, bars, sports bars, clubs, etc in New York City and I must say this place is very nice. Some of the most beautifullest woman work as the wait and bar staff. Door people & bouncers are very cool. People really go here to enjoy game night on the big screens, have drinks and mingle. Mostly local upper east side residents and regulars come here. Some nights they bring in a live dj. A few weeks ago they had a dj who gave me his card, a dj by the name of DJ4G dot TV a.k.a DJ Wikidwayne was commanding the decks. This guy was unbelievable and very very very very good, actually great. He was spinning ""old school style"" with a pair of real turntables. Very rare to see that now a days. His attitude was upbeat and he was friendly and played my request and had everyone with smiles on there faces dancing and just enjoying the hell out of his live deejaying and music. Freakin incredible. That deejay at Bounce Sports bar made my night. I did not expect to see and hear a dj like that in a sports bar. I highly recommend going out to Bounce and or throwing a party there. The food, drinks, beautiful bar staff & deejay are great ! :) I'm very pleased to say. Thanks Bounce for a great night. more

Could not love you more 12/3/2009

I have been going to Bounce since it's opening and I love it. I may be a little biased because I know the managers and staff, but I know them because I actually like the place and kept coming back to get to know them. The bartenders are great(Jen, Amy, Christina, Vickie, Lina etc), the managers are great(Billy is the best) and to top it off the food is great. I have watched the wait staff, barbacks and busboys work very hard to satisfy their customers and I for one appreciate it...I'll keep coming back. If I had to give one demerit it is that the bathrooms are really small. THAT IS IT!!! AND I AIN'T LIVING IN THE BATHROOM SO I DON'T CARE. \r \r Keep up the good work Yosh!!! Pros: Great Staff and Management Cons: Bathrooms are small more

WASTE OF TIME 9/26/2009

went in with a friend of mine who was known..he was taken care of, me, ignored..it was fine, sitting there partying with Yousif(owner) all night...then the bill comes...it doesn't matter who you know, $200 for beers and two apps, which btw the staff had no problem helping us eat. forget this place, there is plenty of other bars around like the Bullpen that take care of people Cons: rip off more

Incredible looking waitresses! 10/13/2008

All well endowed, reminded of a Sinfield episode :) The bartender was stunning as well!! (She should be doing modeling work)\r Nice atmosphere, nice size TV monitors. Had an appetizer and was very good. Bathrooms were being redone, not a big deal for me though. Going back to check out the waitresses ;)\r Pros: Hot waitresses! Cons: Hot waitresses! :) more

A rip-off with attitude 6/28/2008

It's the Upper East Side. Not the Meatpacking District. Not Greenwich Village. The Upper East Side. So why must this place try and impersonate a nightclub - complete with inattentive service and downright hostile, we-don't-give-a-@#&% service? Allegedly a sports bar, Bounce bombards anyone trying to watch its washed-out flat screens with the doof-doof-doof of a bad DJ. Note to Bounce: You're not a club. You're just a sports bar! Try turning up the sound on the game once in a while. And while you're at it, if a customer has a legitimate complaint, why not offer an attentive ear instead of the puffed-out chest of a defensive manager more suited to be a rent-a-cop? The last straw was being hustled by one of those tarts who wields a tray full of Jell-O shots. After buying three for $3 each, I handed over a $20 and was told I would not be entitled to change. I had to demand my change from the bartender. When I complained about it, I was surrounded by three thugs and escorted out the door. Thankfully, there are too many better sports bars to go. Cons: Inattentive service, hostile attitude more

DO NOT GO - worst experience ever - manager attacked my friend 4/15/2008

My friend and I went to Bounce to grab a bite, drink a couple beers, and watch some playoff games. It wasn't exceptionally crowded but there was only one waitress and she was obviously overwhelmed. It took us 10 minutes to get a beer and 20 minutes to order after that. For second beer we gave up getting the waitress' attention after 10 minutes and just went to the bar ($22 for 2 Sam Adams it turns out). \r \r The food came out quickly, but was mediocre at best. When we got the check, we saw that the drinks from the table next to us had been added to our check. 10 minutes later, we got the correct check. The manager delivered the check to us, and my friend took the opportunity to tell him the service was unacceptable, particularly because he'd been chatting with his friends and dancing with the waitress the whole time. He proceeded to lean across the table and start yelling that she was wrong and that she didn't know what she was talking about. I had to put my arm out and push him away because he was being so aggressive. We paid our check and were walking out when the manager called across the bar ""have a good night ladies"", winked and blew a kiss at us. I have honest.ly never seen such appalling behavior - from the MANAGER. I assure you neither me nor any of my friends will ever go back to this place, and recommend that you do the same. Cons: Manager yells at customers, blah food, bad service more

The best sports bar! 4/4/2008

I went to Bounce on a recommendation by a friend and I will definitely be passing on the recommendation! I went for lunch on Saturday to watch the game and had the wings-I have to say some of the best I've had-the sauce was great and plenty of meat. The bartenders were really friendly and gave great service with a smile(which is sometimes hard to find in New York)and I ended up staying for much longer than I had planned! Well done Bounce-I will definitely be coming back with friends! Pros: Great service, great value, accommodating to your sport preference more

This place rocks!!! 4/3/2008

We came here on a Saturday night with all of my buddies to watch the game at the bar and we couldn't believe the vibe, the service, the music and how cool the bartenders were! Michelle and Jen are hot and fabulous and they really know how to treat people well. The DJ was killing it too! Now we love this place, not only to watch sports, but now we like coming just to hang out all of the time. It really is, hands down, the best bar in Manhattan. Pros: Hot staff, ambience, music, vibe Cons: NOTHING more

Loud and Obnoxious 11/23/2007

Ok to chill and wind down 7/23/2007

There was nothing special about this sports bar. The DJ is pretty good and could have you dancing all night. Drinks are made conservatively and good. Bartenders are good looking and friendly. Food is above average. Had a good time, would go again for the happy hour to chill out but not necessarily a place to hold a party. I held my pre-bday celebration there, no complaints and the manager gave my crew a round of house shots but again there's nothing too special here. Pros: Food, drinks, DJ, bartenders Cons: just your average sports bar more

Watch a game and relax 3/6/2007

I stumbled upon this place after walking by and seeing the TVs through the big open front doors last summer. I've been back quite a few times since. There has never been a problem about seeing whatever game you may be interested in watching. Football, basketball, and baseball are staples, but you can see hockey, boxing, and lacrosse. All you need to do is ask and they will try to make it happen. The staff is fun, attentive, and very pleasant to look at. The food is of good quality, quite a surprise for a sports bar. Try the Teriyaki steak wrap, a great meal in my opinion. The music can sometimes seem repetitive, but if you're there for the music then you're not at the right place. Larger bathrooms would be nice. But it is not a big place, which means it can get crowded during the big games, but everyone is having a good time. If you like sports, good food, a fairly young and relaxed crowd, and alcohol then I don't think you can go wrong with Bounce. But don't let too many people know, I like it just the way it is now. Pros: Any game you want to watch, great looking staff Cons: small bathrooms more
