Al though it may have been worth it for others, the what I consider to be expensive training course at Boston Bartender School of America, got me nowhere as far as getting a bar tending job. Granted, I did learn a lot about making different drinks, liquor laws, and health codes. I even obtained a Bar Tending License there. Unfortunately, no one would hire me without actual bar tending experience in a real bar. Every place I applied at suggested that I start as a waitress and work my way up to bartender. Hopefully my other classmates had better luck than me.
