Best

If Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, and other greats asked, ""Where shall we eat?"", I'd recommend the Bombay Palace! The food is flavorful, the service impeccable, and the price perfect.

Flavor, Flavor, FLAVOR! 8/4/2011

This is hands-down my favorite Indian restaurant EVER! The food is so magnificent-- I wish I could eat more than my stomach allots :) The buffet is awesome, fresh, plentiful, and a complementary mixture of dishes. The waitstaff is attentive and smiley. And the price is SUPER reasonable-- worth every cent. more

MY FAVORITE INDIAN RESTAURANT 11/11/2010

The service and food are exceptional. If a favorite Indian food or combination is not on the menu, ask if it available. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and most helpful in describing any food you may be interested in ordering. They take care to see their customers are comfortable and enjoy the expertly prepared food. more

Only Indian buffet to go to in Nashville 8/2/2010

I've tried every Indian buffet (including the overrated Woodlands) in Nashville, and this is the only one worth going to! I've been eating Indian for 20+ years all over the US and was vegetarian for 6 years so feel like I have a good understanding of what the typical US Indian restaurants serve. \r \r The buffet has a great selection - typically 5-6 vegetarian options, 3-4 meat options, several sauces (ginger, raita, plum, etc.), jasmine rice, salad, rice pudding, and naan brought to your table. I've been 6 times and each time they have several regular dishes (dahl, some sort of pakora, etc.) and other new dishes. The food is seasoned well and not overly spicy. Love the dahl and chicken makhani! The only dish I keep hoping will be on the buffet is palak paneer (hint, hint...).\r \r The staff is friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that it's usually quite warm in the restaurant, but it doesn't stop me from driving 20 minutes to go there every other month!\r Pros: large selection (both veg and meat) on buffet, great service Cons: turn up the air conditioning, please more

A Nashville Essential 5/4/2010

As far as I'm concerned, this place is a Nashville essential. OK, I've never been to India, BUT I did use to live in NYC and I ate at dozens of Indian restaurants. And while a couple may have been on par with Bombay Palace, I don't remember any of them being better. In addition to serving food that is simply wonderful, the staff is always warm, friendly and relatively prompt. I say ""relatively"" because sometimes you might have to wait slightly longer than usual, but trust me, it's worth it. Personally I love the Chicken Makhani and any of the Paneer dishes (particularly the Shahi Paneer) but I've never had anything there that wasn't really good to DAMN TASTY. Also, the lunch buffet is a terrific deal. I'm getting hungry just writing this review. Pros: Best Indian in Nashville Cons: Sometimes wait is a little long (but not often) more
