Let's face it.....pilates looks easy....a few sit ups here, move your legs aroud a little there, wave your arms in the air....no problem. Well that's what I thought until I started taking pilates regularly at Body Mechanics. When you do pilates correctly, you find muscles you didn't know you had. And its NOT easy. And Mandy can spot you cheating a mile away. Taking pilates at BM with Mandy has been a huge educational experience about the weaknesses in my body and has helped me tremndously with strengthening my not-so-strong core muscles. I'm a dancer/athlete and I injured my back......I always thought I was superman, and altough I might appear strong on the outside, I've learned that I've got a long way to go to protect myself from injury. Mandy's helping me get there one mat class at a time. And best of all, she makes it fun. She's knowledgeable about your body, keeps you in line when she has to, but she's also just super cool and has an awesome sense of humor. I highly recommend this place.
