Best

They did a wonderful job without family. a gentleman there, Galen, went out of his way to help us and we really appreciated it.

Worst

VERY disappointed in Bluebonnet, especially as many of my relatives are buried in their cemetery. Cost at Bluebonnet for funeral > $8000 plus other ""fees"", like $600 for ""overt...

We have had a bad experience with this funeral home and would not recommend it to anyone. They seem to be so money motivated that they care nothing about anything else. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/28/2012

We were EXTREMELY disappointed in the level of service from Bluebonnet Hills Funeral home. They were very helpful as long as they were taking our money, once they had the money the service level dropped to nothing. Definitely NOT what one hopes for or expects from a funeral home. I would not recommend using their services under any conditions. They made an already difficult time in our lives much worse. more

wonderful. 4/16/2012

I was called right after my husband died and fortunately we had a premade policy. Everything was okay, everything went just real well. more

Thank you, Galen! 4/9/2012

Excellence 4/2/2012

Everyone went completely out of there way to help us in such a harsh time. Even months after the funeral, trying to take care of other things, we have still been served well by the locaiton: Doris, and Galen, everybody there that I spoke to has always been very helpful and very responsive more

A blessing 3/26/2012

For someone who has never had to deal with planning a funeral, they have gone above and beyond. They never denied me a request, and when I had to plan the funeral, it seemed so daunting and frightening. They made it easy, and they gave our family the dignified funeral we so wanted. Thank you. more

Don't get taken because you're grieving! Do your homework! 6/29/2011

VERY disappointed in Bluebonnet, especially as many of my relatives are buried in their cemetery. Cost at Bluebonnet for funeral > $8000 plus other ""fees"", like $600 for ""overtime"" since we wanted the service on Saturday. Cost at North Dallas Funeral Home, a VERY nice family owned business, $2500 and they don't charge ""overtime"" for Saturday. Bluebonnet must have some really well paid cemetery workers!! Avoid them at all costs. Even the pre-paid plans are a scam. Do your research before you choose!! more

Very professional, beautiful, caring, recommended!! 8/29/2010

We have purchased our plots, prepaid funerals, headstones, etc from Bluebonnet hills...and throughout my dealings with them, I have found the people there to be very thoughtful, helpful and respectful. The grounds of the memorial park are beautiful with great views. The grounds are kept in immaculate condition as are the headstones. I always recommend this place to anyone I meet that is interested in preplanning their final resting place to take the burdon off of their children/spouse. Think, plan ahead, be smart. more

Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home has been a nightmare. 6/27/2009

In addition to the pain of the very sudden, unexpected loss of my young husband, Bluebonnet Hills has been unprofessional, uncooperative, deceptive, and unreliable. We choose them because I wanted my husband's remains to be near his mother, so that she could visit as often as possible. Because we were both students and still paying off our wedding only a year earlier we had a limited income. Bluebonnet suggested "standard" items, but when we looked at the price list it became clear that these were not the least expensive, or even close. Upon sitting down with the staff to try and bring the cost down the "sympathetic" demeanor of the staff disappeared. On the very day of the wake at 2:30 in the afternoon, with family and friends flying in, I was informed that the funeral would not happen, that the plot would not be dug, because they could not reach Ft Dearborn, the UTMB HR department and therefore could not verify my husband's job or life insurance policy. The day before I buried more

Unprofessional, unreliable, a poor choice 6/27/2009

When my husband unexpectedly died I choose Bluebonnet Hills so my mother-in-law could visit often. They have been unprofessional, deceptive, and unreliable. Because we were both students on a limited income BBH suggested ""standard"" items, but the price list revealed these options not so economical as ?standard? implies. On sitting down with the staff to try to bring the cost down the ""sympathetic"" demeanor of the staff vanished. The afternoon before the funeral I was informed that ?plot would not be dug?, because they could not verify my husband's job or life insurance policy. I had to call the insurance and employer and have THEM call. Their minister offered reading to my mother in law that I had already declined. Two months later I have yet to receive the death certificates. And although we had the most economical options, I?ve generally heard that I ""got taken."" Please avoid Bluebonnet Hills Colleyville and the homes managed by their parent company, Stewart Corp. Cons: Unprofessional, unreliable, deceptive more

Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park 3/21/2008

When my Mom unexpectedly passed away we used Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park. The staff was friendly and professional with our family to make her final arrangements.\r Mom looked beautiful, they made her face look so young. Then I saw that they had placed orange plastic nails on her hands when her pantsuit and casket were blue. Bluebonnet would have received five stars if they would not have put those horrible finger nails on her.\r We also used Bluebonnet Hills for my Mom's mom too.\r The cost were comparable with other funeral places in the area. \r I would recommend Bluebonnet Hills to everyone. more
