If you go, pay CASH to be safe 1/25/2010

The food is good and the service is OK, but my 1-star review is solely based on the fact that the management (or a server in their employ) is either shady or cannot read numbers on a credit card slip. My last meal there was about $10, and I wrote $12 even on the total line to encompass the bill and tip. On my credit card receipt, a $17 charge was found. Even in the eventuality that they could not tell a 2 from a 7, you would think they would have the common sense to make the assumption that I intended to tip 20% instead of 70%. I have no gripe about the food here, but I would highly suggest that if you visit Blueberry Hill, you pay cash ONLY. That way you're less likely to be taken by their staff. more

The vote should be unanimous! 7/6/2008

As I was driving outside Milwaukee for a corporate training session, I noticed this restaurant on the way back home. I decided to go with the Hawaiian omelette and crepes and could not find anything wrong in the slightest. The amount of food was absurd given the obscene spike in commodities over the last year or so. I have seen many other restaurants cut back on their servings as a response to the rising costs of eggs, milk, flour etc. Service was prompt and while there will be instances of waitresses having a bad day, that should be no reason to dismiss this place. We all have "off" days but people are too quick to render judgment. Even though it is more than an hour away, I have gone back a few times and the results have been stellar. Blueberry Hill prides themselves on consistency and it is my belief they will continue their excellent track record. more

I found my thrill. . . 8/7/2006

ok, not really. We had family in for the weekend and decided to go out for a Sunday brunch. And Blueberry Hill was a new place none of had been to yet - thought we'd give it a try. First, it was really crowded, which being a Sunday at 11:00 was understandable because its close to a lot of hotels. But the hostess that was taking names for the waiting list was not too excited to have to be working that day. She kind of mumbled "Can I help you?" and put our name on a scrap piece of paper by the register with the others there. We waited 10 minutes, not too bad for a group of six. We were seated in a far corner, we told them twice we needed a high chair before we actually got one. We ordered - food came, eventually (again, they were busy). But not soon enough for the 1 yr old and we did ask for the toast or pancakes to be brought out ASAP - it wasn't. My 3 cheese omelet consisted of 5 eggs folded in an omelet shape with 3 cheese slices on the OUTSIDE. So, my omelet was glued to my plate. They forgot to bring my 5 yr old his chocolate milk 3x - he was half done with his meal before he got his milk. The pecan pancakes ordered by my aunt were 5 pancakes stacked on the plate and pecans tossed on top. So, we went and tried a new place. We won't be going back there soon. more

More than Pancakes 7/10/2006

I have eaten breakfast here on 3 different occasions and have not had a bad experience yet. The food is very good and the waitresses are great too, I love a waitress who likes to have fun and joke around, we had great service and a fun waitress too! We have gone when they have been quite busy; but yet they always found a table for us. We will definitely go back there! more

My taste buds found a thrill at Blueberry Hill Pancake House 7/10/2006

Today I tried Blueberry Hill Pancake House and let me tell you, this place has it! Their menu has a wide selection of goodies and not just breakfast. Eggs, waffles, pancakes (of course) french toast, biscuits and "lots of gravy", Omelets, Yummy looking crepes, sandwiches (so good) and a menu selection from around the world. Gyros, Bourbon street chicken, Mediterranean chicken, Cajun pork chops, stir fries and so much more. Blueberry Hill's large selection of wonderful food is very reasonable in price and the service is unbelievable. Very courteous, and making sure everything is just right. (It was!) The atmosphere is very clean, organized and in a quiet setting. I had a sandwich today and they start you off with soup. This soup was the best I have ever tried. It was a creamy chicken rice soup and if I could have licked the bowl clean I would have. It was that good. I had to come home with a doggie bag there was so much food. Will I go back to Blueberry Hill? You bet! I have to work my way around the world with their menu.
