Having gone for brunch one Sunday, I must say that this cafe's presentation at their buffet was very nice, however not many traditional brunch foods seemed available. This little spot is semi-upscale establishment that does have a fair variety of dishes to choose from, but in the 3 or so times I've visited, the food seemed inconsistent. The prices are a bit high as well. In all fairness, I have not had occasion to experience their catering services, but would be willing to consult with them. more

I have eaten many meals at work that have been catered by this company. The food is very fresh, and served at the appropriate temperature. It is always very tasty. I have eaten a few times at the actual restaurant and I wasn’t overly satisfied with the service and didn’t think that I got a good value for my money. The restaurant food and the catering menu are different and the in house food isn’t nearly as tasty as the catered food. I would suggest just going with this place for catering. more

  • Chef and Owner Shawn Hayes moved to Central Virginia in 1995 after meeting and marrying his wife Rita. They opened a small 30 seat café just hours after their daughter Elizabeth was born. Knowing he was in a small market with not a lot of Restaurant choices, Chef Shawn designed a menu and restaurant that was something everybody could enjoy. Over the last 20 plus years he has built the business from a small café to a Cozy Café, Sports Bar, Banquet Rooms and off Site catering, as well as one of Virginia's best known wedding caterers.
