We were excited to try Blue's food and their extensive selection of martinis, but we left the restaurant very disappointed. The martinis were good, but it wasn't enough to erase the horrible service and mediocre food. Our server seemed to be super pleasant around the other tables, but the minute he came near us, he was snippy and acted as though we were an inconvenience. We had done nothing to make him think this - we had just sat down - but our best guess is that he saw four adults in their late 20's and thought that we wouldn't be very good tippers? Unfortunately, this isn't the first time that this has happened to us. As an aside, I can see how this thought perpetuates. We didn't have good service, so we didn't tip well, he'll assume that we didn't tip well because of our age, and continue to provide poor service to people in our age group. The food was ok, but nothing special. Perhaps it would have tasted a little better if we were having a better dining experience, but it still would not be amazing. It was also very expensive. Also, the fact that the restaurant is in a strip mall kind of took away from the swanky vibe that it tries to put out. It is doubtful that we would ever go back.
