This is one of my favorite places to eat out in Fairfax. They might not have the best sushi in town, but it is good, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small, so if you have a big party, call ahead because there is a partitioned area that can seat at least 12.
We usually order the miso soup, house salad with ginger dressing, and sushi. However, we have also tasted the shumai and tempura. Both are good. For sushi, we have eaten both nigiri and rolls, and particularly enjoy the fatty tuna nigiri and the crunchy roll.
We also travel with our two kids and have never felt unwelcome. Our children love the miso soup, so we ask for some with extra tofu. We have never had a bad meal and return often.
I hope you enjoy.
