They charge an "entertainment fee" for listening to live music however there is no sign and this charge will magically appear on your bill. Terrible bartenders. They will steal from you, make sure you get an itemized check. I'll never go back. more

Canned mushrooms, canned chicken on a pizza . Totally gross. Good music, but do not eat. Terrible slow service, and if you are under 55 years old, you are way too young to fit in. more

Stumbled on BJ Blues because it was open at 11:30 on a Sunday. It is our new go to place. Nice 6.5 ounce pour on their wine and some great appetizers and pizza. Top everything off with great jazz. Gets really packed on weekends more

It's good to have a place to go almost any night of the week and hear quality jazz. Blue Jean Blues gives you that. There are quality artists and bands playing there almost nightly. Great looking and comfortable club. Good food, friendly and hardworking waitresses and bartenders. My only complaint comes with trying to hear music there when it's packed as it usually is on Fridays and Saturdays. I saw the Andrea Wood Quartet there last Sat. night and really couldn't hear the music very well at all because of the noise coming from the people around the bar. I felt sorry for the singer because the louder she sang, the louder the people talked and laughed to drown her out. Maybe the people sitting up front did not have that problem but there are only a handful of seats there and most were reserved somehow. One of the reviewers below says he has the right to talk while the show is going on and that I should go to a concert hall to hear the music without the extra noise. My reply to that would be that if he isn't interested in the music then why not go someplace with a DJ or no music at all instead of making it difficult for the artists and the people who want to hear them. Overall I still like the place, especially when it's not full. If you really want to listen to some good jazz though get there early and get a seat up front, or else the loudmouths at the bar will ruin it for you. more

Cool little restaurant with quality eats and live music most days. A locals hangout, casual place to grab a pizza or other items. Pretty decent happy hour drink and food deals. more

I am from Jersey & I was visiting Ft. Lauderdale and had never been to a Jazz / Blues Bar so I was excited when I saw Blue Jean Blues. I was with a few of my friends and we a woman bartender who was totally awesome and on top of it the Pizza was awesome. I would definitily recommend going to here for a good time! The staff is friendly and they have good music. This will for sure be our new local jazz bar. I like that there is no smoking inside. It's like your sitting in your own living room but the only difference is you getting waited on! I was able to make it for there grand opening party. They did a great job. The food and music was flowing all night. I recommend the white pizza. uuummmm! It's a great place to listen to good jazz and they even have outside seating! Pros: Place looks great! Cons: No daytime live music, only at night. more
