Mixed experiences here - 50-50 chance, as food quality uncertain 1/3/2009

I've been here twice and would write a different review each time. The first time we went six months ago, we loved it! The margaritas are outstanding (although VERY expensive at $9/ea), and the service was excellent. After we went again, I can still say the service is excellent, you are seated promptly, and the ambience is lovely. However, the food is of mixed quality. This past time, we found the pork to be extremely fatty and unedible. The food was also luke warm, and not of the high quality of the first time we went. The bill was $90, which would be fine if the food wasn't so average. The margaritas are fantastic and the choice of flavours is great; however, bear in mind that they are expensive - the menu doesn't tell you this, so you may be surprised at cheque-time. So I say 50-50 with the food, but they take good care of you and love the margaritas! Pros: Service was great; nice atmosphere; great margaritas Cons: Food quality not consistent; a bit expensive. more

Food was disappointing 10/1/2008

We just came from dinner at Blue Coyote and were so disappointed. We both had enchiladas which were bland, my rice was lukewarm at best and the beans were overly salty. The salsa didn't have any kick. The Wild margarita was just OK. Service was fine but the place was fairly empty so I'd expect OK service. Great location but that's where the greatness ends. Pros: ambience, location Cons: food more

Best Ribs Ever 11/21/2007

A must when in Palm Springs 7/19/2007

Very creative menu, lots of unique dishes that rock my picky world. Spend the extra money and get an order of the guacamole! The margaritas are great (but strong). Service can be slow, but so worth it. We eat there every time we go to Palm Springs. Wish I was there now, better yet that they would relocate just around the corner from my house. Pros: Unique food, best margaritas and guacamole Cons: slow service sometimes more

Pretty good! 7/18/2006

I had the crispy beef taco and a chicken enchilada. The combo plates come with black beans, rice and sweet corn cake. The taco was great, the enchilada was kinda plain and the black beans were a little too firm. My BF had the shredded chicken with eggs - very tasty! Their salsa has a unique blend and is very fresh. Overall the food was pretty good and the service was fast and attentive. I would definitely come back! more

The best margaritas in the desert. The food is not your typical Mexican burritos, tacos, and enchiladas. They have creative dishes that you will not find elsewhere. Pros: Outdoor dining, Best Margaritas, Friendly service more

awful service 10/10/2002

I was there last week with some colleagues. The food was typical tex-mex. The service was awful. Drinks weren't refilled. Food came out sporadically and went to the wrong people. We were even charged for an extra entree, and our server (who did not speak english) refused to remove it from our tab! We felt taken advantage of, and it made all of us very unhappy customers, especially since some people were on per diems. Next time, I will choose a restaurant whose servers can count! Pros: lots of room Cons: poor service, over-charging, complacent menu more

Sucky, Sucky 6/2/2002

This was the worst food that we have eatten in years. The atmosphere was nice but the food tasted like something out of a can and my wife, me, and one of my friends were sick the next day after. The beans were not cook either and the rice tasted like it was instant rice. It was no wonder that we received our food so quickly when everything was premade! The only was you will like this place is if you are going here to get drunk. But DON'T EAT THE FOOD!!!!!!!!!! Pros: ATMOSPHERE Cons: FOOD QUAILTY, INSTANT FOOD more

The place to be 5/15/2002

Seems that anyone who goes to PS for more than 2 days ends up here. For good reason. more
