My husband and go to Blossom every summer 3-6 times for concerts. We have seen everything from mellow James Taylor and Stevie Nicks to Bon Jovi to Kiss to Def Leppard Rod Stewart...

I'm from far outside of town (4 hours one way) and wanted desperately to see Sara Evans and Rascal Flatts. Bought tickets even though the drive was terrible because people said h...

A beautiful place to hear music 12/18/2005

The Blossom Music Center is just about my favorite place in the world to hear live music. The summer home of the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra, the venue also hosts big name concerts from spring to early autumn. Artists I've seen there include Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, the Ramones, Iggy Pop, Neil Young and Santana. The natural amphitheater is in the middle of I don't know how many acres of woods, with seating available in a wooden domed pavillion which includes the stage and on a large lawn area just behind it. The sound is incredible, and so is the scenery. more

Summer Orchestra Series 12/11/2005

I love Blossom for the summer Cleveland Orchestra concert series. For three years running now we have gotten their ticket pack ($120 for ten tickets) which allows you to go to any concerts of your choice. You can bring ten friends and attend one, or bring a date and attend five. It's simply so relaxing to bring a big blanket, a picnic basket and a bottle of wine and lay out on the lwan and listen to our world-class orchestra. Frequently they have special events such as fireworks, wine-tastings, or movies on the big screen such as a star wars extravaganza, bugs bunny film festival, and a nasa presentation along with "The Planets" more

Great outdoor venue for the orchestra 9/13/2005

Let me preface this review by saying that I used to like Blossom Music Center more than I do now. I still love this location for the orchestra in the summer, but any other show, forget about it. For orchestra performances, you can still bring in your picnic, including wine and glassware, silverware, china, etc... (and you'll see people with full table linens and centerpieces set on short legged tables in the lawn). The whole scene is lovely, refined and the music is exquisite. The other shows at Blossom however I feel are overpriced and the security, etc... is overbearing. You're lucky you're allowed to bring a purse inside the facility. The parking lot is crawling with state troopers, as are the streets surrounding the grounds. I don't like feeling like I'm on lockdown when I've paid upwards of $35 for a ticket to a show. I realize there are always a few bad apples in a crowd, but please, find them instead of pestering the rest of the patrons. That said, otherwise, Blossom is a beautiful spot to hear the orchestra on a warm summer's evening - forget the pavillion seats, you'll be happy as a clam on the lawn. more

Great concert venue 8/20/2005

Blossom Music Center is a wonderful concert venue. Major tours stop here and it is also the summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra. The place is beautiful, with well maintained gardens and plenty of shade trees. Food and beer is very expensive, as you would expect, and traffic jams coming out of events are legendary. more

This is the next best thing to WOODSTOCK 8/19/2005

Blossom music center is out in the woods essentially and is completely and outdoor complex, however it is HUGE. there is a partial covering that does cover the stage and over a thousand seats but the rest is "chilling in the grass". There is nothing better than listening to some good tunes out in the heart of the woods and nature. There is something about getting back to nature that is really rewarding by attending a show here. During the summer monthes they even host the Cleveland Orchestra for some concerts that are tremendous because they allow you to bring in wine and cheese and blankets if you so choose. more
