Ugh, Doomsday Hill 5/7/2006

I have only participated in Bloomsday for about the past five years, I didn't get to do it this year because of my broken big toe! There is a group of us that get together every year and walk this together, we are all family members and once did it with my 3 month old neice! We always have a great time, not only is it fun but it's great exercise! The vulture at the top of Doomsdale Hill is great, he's there every year! more

Doomsday 4/15/2006

Okay every year I look forward to running bloomsday. And every year after the run I wonder why I torture my self. I must be nuts. I don't even train for it. I say next year i will train and be in shape. But here it is only a couple weeks away, and I haven't ran once. I've payed to run Bloomsday for ten years now, I must be nuts. My family members must be nuts to, because I dragged them into it too. Yep its been a tradition in my family to run/walk bloomsday, and the best part about it is eating Olive Garden afterwords. The only thing I don't like is you have to pay for little kids too. My daughter isn't even one, and I have to pay $14 to push her in a stroller. And the money doesn't even go to charity! more

Run for fun 4/13/2006

Yup! Paying to run 7.46 miles. Are we nuts!? I ran my first Bloomsday last year and I admit I had fun. I enjoyed watching all the bands play and running around and seeing sights of Spokane. Doomsday hill was not all that. I think it's great that they donate money to a charity so when you look at it your running for a cause. more
