I was a little disappointed because the menu suggests that your palette will be totally tantalized, but while the menu is solid and delicious, it's definitely more subtle than bold. Due to the fact that not every dish was a total slam dunk, I did feel it was a bit overpriced - and i'm the type who puts money down when the food is worth it. The environment is very nice indeed and while elegant, my 12 year old son accompanied us in jeans and didn't feel out of his element. The appetizers are just as good as the entrees which is a plus. I would prefer going to Bocado, by the same owners down the street. But don't get me wrong - it's still good and if you don't want to drive to Boston but want the fine dining experience, Block 5 can be a good destination.
Pros: Ambience, service, food
Cons: not quite a slam dunk on all dishes
