Always a good experience 7/20/2010

Have been going to this little gem for years and have never had a bad experience. We normally order take out but have also booked large group tables as well. The food always comes out hot and fresh and the prices are not bad. Big fan of all the curries we've ordered (massaman, red, green, & panang) and the Pad Thai has always been tasty. The staff are friendly and fairly attentive & always aim to please. Perhaps their location is what keeps them from being packed but I'm not complaining, since that means we can dine whenever we want :-) The only minor complaint is that the curries sometimes lack substance, i.e. mostly curry and not enough meats/veggies. Since they're flavorful, however, I'm usually fairly content with asking for more rice and just enjoying the great flavor. Pros: Tasty food & friendly service Cons: Curries could have more ""substance"" more

Love the atmosphere, great food for great prices 11/24/2008

I used to work in Manhattan & was a regular at an awesome Thai place but since I've left that area, I've been yearning & craving a local ""replacement"" restaurant and ALAS! I found it! I had the Calamari appetizer, Thai salad, and a spicy noodle dish - yum. Food & portions are great, atmosphere was my favorite thing and it makes me want to book a party or bring a large group along... I went on a Tuesday night - not crowded, staff was courteous, food came quick but not rushed. I can only judge what I've had there, but what i can tell it is not for someone who wants real ""authentic"" Thai - so its great for a first-timer or people who don't like reallllly spicy. Will definitely go again & bring friends. Pros: Ambience, great for big groups or only 2 people Cons: I was too full to taste any of their desserts which looked yummy more

Don't miss out, it is well worth your money... 11/5/2008

Excellent Thai food. Try the chicken masaman, grilled snapper, crab cakes, pad see ew, they are all great. The papaya salad is required with every meal. The decor is beautiful and there is plenty of parking. The servers are very attentive and accomodating. Thai food must have a delicate balance of spicy, sweet and sour. BKNY does a great job in finding that balance. Of course there are plenty of Thai restaurants but try this place and you like it. Don't be intimidated by the word spicy, all the food can be made less spicy and even the most fearful can be convinced that this restaurant can be a great night out... Pros: great food, service, parking Cons: can't think of anything. more

What a find! 11/2/2008

Service-spot on. Decor- spot on-who knew Francis Lewis Blvd could pull off romantic? \r Food-some of the best thai in NYC. Rivals the old Siam Inn on 8th Ave. Vastly different than the old stand-by Sri in Jackson Heights. Highly recommended. Pros: food, service, food, decor, food, parking more
