Can't disagree more with Mr. Smith. We have visted Luke's Birkenstocks twice when we've been in Laguna Beach and have done business with Luke via mail from the east coast. Luke is fabulous. His shop is simple, but he is extraordinarily professional. More than that, he knows feet, and he knows his business. We have been delighted with every product we've purchased and with repairs we have needed for older Birkenstocks. We tell everyone about Luke! more

I usually don't take the time to write reviews but felt compelled on this one. I must tell you folks this guy is a jerk. He is very independent which is OK, but has NO common sense when it comes to running a business. His store is filthy and unorganized. I made a call to him first, he knew I was driving quite a ways to get there and I arrived only to find no one attending the store. I waited 20+ minutes for his return. When he did arrive he was totally, socially unexceptable. Very rude! If you question my opinion just call him on the phone. I detected an egotistical attitude when I called but did not follow my intuition. What a waste of time! I still Love Birkenstocks but would not give this guy the time of day. GOOD LUCK! more
