Sunny, fresh, delightful ambiance with delicious items on the menu, but someone else has to order them, because I am so addicted to the Diane Salad that I can't order anything else! The Bimini Bread alone is worth the trip...crusty, doughy, perfect with honey butter. We always order an extra loaf to take home. For a perfect casual meal, this is the spot. more

Food was good, price ok. Service was the worst I have had. Over an hour to get the meal, server was tending to larger groups and ignored us. If you've got a group of 20 you'll be great! more

Spent Friday and Saturday at Bimini for their 20th Annivesary Bash. What a GREAT time. They built a new patio bar, added new chairs, placed new sofas next to the inside top bar, and redid the bathrooms with some cool looking sinks. The place looks awesome!\r \r We ate like crazy; lobster, calamari, ribs, hotdogs, a hamburger. Everything was real good. Kudos to the chef and his staff.\r \r The owners (Whit, Steve, and Scott) are solid people and their passion for good food, drinks and a positive vibe ring true at Bimini. Add a friendly/efficient staff and a great location and you have a recipe for success. So come by boat, cab, car, or Orbiz Hovercraft and check this place out.\r \r Remember to tell them Dan sent you for the Fountain of Youth Rum Drink and Stay Hungry! more

The Bimini Boatyard is a place you can go to get some great Seafood with a Caribbean slant.\r \r We were there one night waiting for our cruise to leave port. Got there just in time for the happy hour. Everything is half off and the BAR Bites menu is only $3.00 a dish. A great deal for the amount of food served.\r \r We later sat down for dinner and had the Jumbo-lump crab cakes, the Dominican Grouper and the Antillean Mahi. Each was unique and different for any other restaurant serving the same items. The crabcakes were great, just a little touch of the fork and the cake broke down into the large lumps of crab. \r \r The grouper was mango and coconut crusted and it sat ontop a Paella rice-which is good enough to be its own entree by itself. The wood-grilled Mahi was something else. The tropical citrus-herb salad is a great compliment for the guava glazed Mahi. \r \r The atmosphere is great being right on the riverfront and yachts are a nice back drop for dining on the open air terrace. \r \r Overall, this is one of the best restaurants we have gone to in Florida. And, we have been here for a longtime. more

Great Seafood with a Caribbean slant 7/19/2009

We were told by relatives here in F/L to go see the place. Great location on the river and great food. We all loved it. The menu was kool. The Seafood all stylized in a Caribbean nature, was some of the best we had the whole week we were here. The dining room is large. Enough room to fit a small army. The view of the yachts outside made for a great backdrop for dining. The patio was too hot, so we went inside for dinner. They need canopies outside or something. Really good overall. Pros: To little time for dinner Cons: Patio is hot in the Summertime more

This is the place to go..... 7/12/2009

We were on vacation in Fort Lauderdale in March. The concereige at our hotel this is the place to go for a great Caribbean food experience. He was right. the menu was very innovative and extremely decorative. We came back for lunch the next day and found the room full. The lunch business was better than the dinner business the night before. The crowd was mostly local business people. You could tell because people were getting up from their tables and visiting others on other tables. Any placer that is this busy for lunch and dinner must be a great restaurant. We loved both times we were there. Pros: Everything Cons: Not enough time to try the whole menu more

Beautiful space and very good service. 4/10/2009

The high beamed ceilings and waterfront location make this a very beautiful space. Avoid the Bimini Bread. It's basically a sticky roll. Not appropriate for an appetizer and you have to get up and wash your hands afterwards. The crab cakes were meaty and very good. The grouper was just so so. The fish was hot but the sides were almost cold. more

Warning! 3/23/2009

Folks, don't spend your money. This place was overpriced and the food was horrendous. Service was poor, dinner cold and the plates needed a good washing. The chef may have been out sick, anyone with pride in their profession would not of sent food looking and tasting the way it did. Stay AWAY! Pros: Paddle Fans and paint Cons: Absolutely everything! more

Usually I won't even bother to review a restaurant or happy hour but last night was almost out of a movie. I've been here before back in the day when you almost had to reserve a spot to stand for happy hour and this hot spot is making a comeback. Highly recommend the apple martini! Pros: Great looking people, friendly bartenders, LONG happy hour! Cons: Wish they had the outside bar but it looks like their adding one more

Awesome fort lauderdale seafood restaurant 9/12/2008

Went with a few friends to Bimini the other night and were really impressed with the new changes going on. We haven't been to this gem of Fort Lauderdale in quite a while and the changes are right on key. Check out the happy hour, we saw some old friends and ended up doing dinner which was top notch! Pros: Service, atmosphere, parking, seating, pricing Cons: Nothing comes to mind more

Group Event, Great Service, Great Food! 6/22/2008

I was just at Bimini Boatyard with a group of 16 for a surprise birthday party. The manager in charge of group parties (Patti) was extremely helpful and couldn't have been nicer. She was very attentive to our requests prior to the event and to the details the night of the party. The entire staff made this a great gathering, especially the kitchen with the food. Pros: Group functions, waterfront dining indoor and outside Cons: decor needs updating more

Great place for parties! 5/4/2008

I just hosted a baby shower for about 30 guests there this weekend and it couldn't have gone better. The manager (Patti) and the head waiter (Terry) were wonderful! Every small or large request we made was happily fulfilled. The food was great and the service was too. All of our guests seemed to enjoy themselves and several commented on how nicely everything was done. I was so happy with my experience there that I plan on hosting a big bridal shower there in a couple of months! Pros: great food and service, free valet parking, wonderful views of the boats, WONDERFUL VALUE for large parties Cons: none that I can think of right now... more
