Artist-Blacksmith Dan Nauman has been forging iron since 1979. His work can be seen in many notable homes, businesses, and museums in the Mid-west, i.e. the Captain Frederick Pabst Mansion, Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, The Herman Uihlein Mansion, Milwaukee, WI; the Executive Residence, Madison, WI, and more. The Old-World tradition of "pride in workmanship" is reflected in Dan's creations. "Pride in ownership" is what Dan hopes to achieve for his clients. High attention to detail, coupled with years of experience, provide an enduring character to the finished works... classic, contemporary or whimsical in nature. Dan has been recognized with international awards from the "National Ornamental and Miscellaneous Metals Association" (NOMMA) for design and workmanship for interior as well as exterior ironwork. He is often asked to demonstrate at blacksmith conferences across the nation, and teaches hand-forging regularly at his studio, and elsewhere.
