I needed a new activity, so biking sound fun. I found an old bicycle in my grandmother's basement, and it needed some work. The chain had fallen off, the tires were flat, and the hand brakes needed some adjusting. I take it to the Bicycle Hospital. I tell the woman who works there that I wanted to buy a NEW chain and get the air in the tires. She proceeds to say that I don't need a NEW chain ( which would cost $25 for a chain and service), but if I am still willing to spend $25 I can get a tune up, and they put a master link on my old chain.
I pay $25 for that, take my bike home, and as SOON as I try to pedal, the chain snaps. So I was a little disappointed, and I kinda thought it was my fault (but I don't know how that would be my fault). I take a closer look at the chain, and there are cracks in it. The lady examined the chain and said it was still good.
I should have just went with my original plan. BUT NO!! So I take it back and have to spend another $20 on a chain. They didn't even give me a discount on the chain! You would think that they would go an extra step. So in total I spent $45, on something that should have cost half of that. Next time, I will just YouTube my problem and fix it myself . I just wanted convenience, instead I got an unnecessary expense.
Then they had the nerve to give me attitude. I recommend learning how to fix problems yourself before ever coming here.
