worse company. SAWS should take them over 11/1/2008

Water Corruption NOT WITH BEXAR MET! 10/4/2008

I can see why they would be rude. Are you people blind? SAWS is trying to takeover Bexar Met but it is more evil than that. Bexar Met resisted SAWS and suddenly Bexar Met is up on corruption charges. Take a look at how the International Monetary Fund is working to privatize water as the IMF is called government but is in fact a PRIVATE CORPORATION and then see how it roles into FEMA. Are you getting it? If there is ever martial law, they will cut the water lines!!!! WAKE UP!!! This is not just happening in San Antonio either!!!! more

Atrocious Customer Service 7/28/2008

I moved recently from a SAWS serviced area to a Bexar Met serviced area. Bexar Met has the WORST and RUDEST customer service department I have ever had the misfortune of having to put up with! The phrase ""customer service"" is an oxymoron when it comes to Bexar Met. No wonder they are under investigation. Just proves the adage, ""a fish rots from the head down"". more

Overcharges and raises rates arbitrarily 6/27/2008

Prior moving into a BexarMet Water District serviced home I was a San Antonio Water System customer for years. I did my home work on things like Utility rates, local businesses and schools prior to buying the new home but never thought to look into the water company. BAD MOVE.\r \r After moving into the new home I saw my water bill more than double as compared to what the same water usage was with SAWS. I called BexarMet's support and had a VERY RUDE customer service rep IGNORE my requests to explain the surcharges and bogus ""System Improvement Fee"" charges that seemed to NOT be about my actual water usage. I was also told of an upcoming (July 1st 2008) rate increase of nearly %14 on ALL fees that would make my future bills even higher.\r \r According to DrinkTap Organization, the ""average 2 story household water use annually is 177,400 gallons"". And with the new rate increase from BexarMet that means the average Monthly water bill for a BexarMet customer will be around $110 per month JUST FOR WATER. That is almost DOUBLE what smaller communities around San Antonio pay for the same amount of water, and a %40 premium over SAWS.\r \r Plus, look online for ""BexarMet corruption"" in Google and you will see plenty of news articles on reported ABUSES IN PRICING, CORRUPTION AND BRIBE CHARGES and more from past and current BexarMet Board Members.\r \r If you are looking to add $600 more a year your home bills, then move into BexarMet serviced home, if not, then stay in a SAWS or other municipality water district! Cons: Overcharge to fill pockets of Board Members' bonuses more
