Bethesda Florist

Sent a large plant to good friends of mine and left 2 numbers. I received a delivery confirmation and knew that my friend would call to thank us that didnt come as he didnt receive the plant. I called Bethesda Florist and was told they left the plant with a neighbor and called and left a note on the door. Come to find out there was no note on the door, there was no record of the delivery driver calling either of the numbers I gave AND the delivery driver left the plant 12 units away from where my friend lives. The whole purpose of giving such a present is the surprise that they should have had to receive a present, and that was completely destroyed by my having to track down what was going on. Then to be lied to on top of it all. The least these people could have done is to offer to pick up the plant themselves and deliver it today but my friend was told "oh this is a great opportunity for you to meet your neighbor." Poor attitude by a place that hopes to exceed your expectations. more

Ordered on Wed for a Friday delivery for a special occasion\r \r Did not hear from the intended receipent \r \r On Monday got an email saying it was delivered that day\r \r Called - was told they did not have the ochid in stock - but it came in on Sunday and should have been delivered then - claimed they called and spoke to me which they neither spoke to me nor left a message as I have voice mail on all my telephone numbers\r \r Had they called on Friday I would have changed or cancelled my order. He promised to remove the delivery charge and give me a discount on my next order (which will not happen) and promised to call the receipent to say they should have delivered it on Friday (which as of Monday eventing they had not).\r \r I am not looking for discounts - just reliable service. more

It is no accident that Bethesda Florist has been a successful florist for decades. They carry a wonderful selection and the sales and customer service people there are outstanding. Their attitude is "whatever it takes"...they are not happy until you are happy. They have talented designers and the most reliable delivery service in the area. I have used them many times and have never been disappointed. It's too bad that someone would base their review on a delivery left at a neighbor's house...I suppose they would prefer to come home to a wilted bouquet of dead flowers left on their doorstep, which many florists would do rather than taking the time to try and find a neighbor to accept them. more

I have used Bethesda Florist over the years and will continue to recommend them to my friends/family. They are always so accomodating, even with my last minutes orders (often right before a major flower holiday - a florist's nightmare), and sensitive to my nit-picky requests for specific, more exotic flowers. I have many friends and colleagues who I send flowers to, and really enjoy hearing back from them on how much they loved what they received, and that their favorite flower(s) were amongst the mix! I recommended them to do two friends' weddings, and they did a beautiful job both times. more

Bethesda Florist is the best shop! The selection of arrangements is outstanding, their flowers are beautiful and their people are wonderful. I recently sent flowers to a friend for her birthday and she "oooh'd and ahhhh'd" over her arrangement. I wouldn't turn to any other florist. more

Late in the day before a major holiday, while I was up to my elbows in preparation for the next day's meal I received a phone call from Bethesda Florist asking my name and address. Flowers from a friend had been delivered to the wrong address blocks away. The florist wanted me to pick them up. He actually argued with me about it because his delivery man had gone for the day. I declined. I am aghast, as is my friend who sent the flowers. I will never use Bethesda Florist. more

My review of Feb 13, 2008 was responded to by the President of Bethesda Florist on May 20, 2008. That's more than three months. Are we noting a theme here? However, that response was the very first time that the President or anyone else suggested that Bethesda Florist could/would/might send flowers to the family as an apology or "make up" for an unforgivable mistake. That the family's floral arrangement for the Mother of the family not be delivered to her funeral is beyond apology. That the credit be issued immediately isn't even close to adequate. more

They create beautiful flower arrangements and are reliable local service for those in the Bethesda area. Flowers are always fresh and prices are somewhat reasonable. I am always satisfied with the delivery of flowers, especially with their timing of their deliveries. I order and the staff is always friendly over the phone, i just wish i could order online, when they are closed. Overall, using Bethesda Florist has always been a positive experience. more

Bethesda Florist creates beautiful flower arrangements. This florist is reliable, as flowers are always fresh. I am always pleased with the variety of flowers used in arrangments. They don't load up on carnations or greenery. Delivery is usually quick and prices are reasonable. The staff is creative and friendly when taking orders. more
