I had used this dealer in the past forâ?¦ 4/2/2012

I had used this dealer in the past for service for my own car at the recommendation of a member of my family. I live about an hour away but found that Bennett’s service department was far superior to those in my area for friendliness, courtesy, appointments on time and quality of work. My parents needed a new car so I drove down to take them to Bennett and was just as satisfied with the sales department. We chose to lease a new car and the entire experience was amazing. The pricing philosophy of no-haggling was very welcome and I knew that the price of the car was fair as I had already researched it. The process of finding a lease agreement that met my parents needs was handled in a friendly, respectful and professional manner and we were more than pleased with the results. The car is fabulous and we drove it home with complete peace of mind knowing that we were spared the hassle of running around to different dealers to try and find the best price. And my parents now have a relationship with a wonderful service department. Bennett Chevrolet is second to none other. more

No bad news and no hassle 3/20/2012

The experience was wonderful! My sales person named Kim Capille was excellent. She a very bubbly salesperson focused on customer service! I wanted a new Sonic with specific options that was hard to find. Kim was up to the challenge! She found the car, and it had everything as promised. There was no hassle, and no ""bad"" news during the car buying process only good news. I will recommend Kim Capille to anyone thinking about purchasing a car, and Bennett Chevrolet as well because of Kim.\r The finalized paperwork was with Scott Lam and he was equally pleasant to work with.\r The whole experience at Bennett was a great one. I give you guys and gals five stars! more

My husband and I had Steve Shivers as our sales rep. When the other sales reps were leaving for the evening, Steve stayed and showed us the car we were interested in. Steve was very friendly, professional, and most of all not pushy. We made an appointment, came back the next day and bought the car. Scott Lam helped with the paperwork and financing. Scott was very nice and personable. We had a pleasant experience buying our new car from Bennett Chevrolet and will recommend Bennett to our friends and family. more

Best car buying expericance for my family 2/29/2012

I have never experienced so much help in getting a car. My grand son needed to get a car and it had to be one with some special features, he has a disability. When he called me on Dec. 26th and asked if I could help him get a car, he found one he really liked. I could not get up to Bennett Chevrolet that night from Cape May. He then handed me the phone and I was introduced to Mark Hendricks a very polite man. He then told me how to fill out the form needed on line. With that done I was able to get to the dealer the next morning. It was a pleasure to meet Mark. He went out of his way to make sure that William got just what he was looking for and then some. Everything was done in no time and William drove away with his car and a BIG smile on his face and it is still there. In this day and age it is rare to find people that go out of their way to help and Mark is just that person. I came home and told my family that if they know anyone looking for a car to go to Bennett and ask for Mark Hendricks. Mark is a very special man. God Bless you Mark and there is a special place in Heaven for you. Thank You and may you and your family have a Happy and Blessed New Year. more

Awful. Just Plain Awful. Buying Cars, Parts, you name it. 1/2/2012

This place is the WORST. Being my local dealer, I have been here several times due to lack of local product. Recently, I tried to buy a vehicle from them and their prices were far higher than comparable dealerships. They refused to budge, and their offers were terrible...and the sales staff treated me like an idiot. I walked out and bought a Tahoe down the street for WAY less than they wanted. \r \r I have been for service (mainly to buy parts) on several occasions. Their prices are EXTREMELY high. Want spark plugs? $230 for 8. Incredible. My cost to do it myself is $32. New wiring harness for your spark plugs? $240. Get it online for $40. What a ripoff. And that is only the start of it. They also popped a radioator hose when doing a flush on my truck. Poor workmanship, and way overpriced. \r \r Good luck trying to get somebody to talk to you in the place. On numerous occasions I have walked in, including today, with 4 service clerks at their kiosks and not even a greeting. I personally invaded 3 of their spaces and none of them cared so much as to acknoledge me. After a good 10 minutes, I gave up and went to the parts department...at least somebody ran from accross the room to help me. TERRIBLE SERVICE. I did debate calling the dealer and having the operator (who was sitting right there next to them) and have her forward me to service. This may have gotten their attention. Is it too much to ask to be recognized when I walk into your business, TO GIVE YOU MONEY NONETHELESS, even if you can't get to me right away? At least show you care! \r \r Later in the day, my wife had the same issue. 4 people, no service provided. DO THEY KNOW THEY ARE IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT?\r \r The owner/manager of this dealer should be ashamed of themselves. Overpriced vehicles. Overpriced Service. Lousy Service. They are a DISGRACE. more

Great Buyers Experience 11/26/2010

Was turned down from a handful of dealers for financing in the past. Bennett was able to grab the deal they said they would on the first try. Didn't think I would be walking out of the dealer with a car the same day but that's what happened. Everyone was extremely helpful and accomodating. Would definitely recommend Bennett to anyone looking to get a great deal on a new or used Chevy. Ask for Bobby Thomas , he was very helpful . more

Don't deal with Bennett Chevrolet 11/5/2010

We were very disappointed in the way the dealer treated us. I would not go back to them. Several years ago my daughter purchased a car. Apparently the salesman who sold her the car believes that the entire family should use him. We were not impressed by him went in a couple of weeks ago to purchase a large SUV. The salesman we had was all gung ho and everything was moving along nicely. We were at the point to finalize the deal when my daughter's salesman noticed we were making a deal. He went in during the negotations with our salesman and the finance manager. We had to wait a half hour only to have our salesman come out and tell us the computers were down and we couldn't finalze the deal. That was over two weeks ago and we still haven't heard anything. We called our salesman and he asked us to come in. We drove the 25 miles to the dealership only to learn that the salesman was not in and we would have to come back another time. Todate we have heard nothing further from the dealership. Apparently they don't want any business. It seems one salesman can stop any deal from going through unless you use him. more

Poor sales staff 9/29/2010

The sales staff was difficult to work with and become openly hostile. I tried to purchase a car for a local relative, via email and phone.\r \r After agreeing to a price for a specific car, in writing, the dealership threatened to let a rebate expire and resisted sending documents via email to expedite the sale. I've recently closed on a house this way without difficulty.\r \r If you are trying to deal with these people by email, I would avoid doing business with them. Even in person, I would seriously consider all the negative comments and reviews about them.\r \r I will be writing Chevrolet about this dealership and would advise the same for others that try to do business with them. I don't know, maybe Chevy doesn't care either since they are getting guaranteed government money. more

How do they stay in business? 11/19/2009

Had an appointment - but was accused of showing up a week late! Even if i was late (which i was not) why would the sales staff be so rude. There were 5 people working and no one could show me a new car except one person who was already waiting on another customer. I test drove a chevy certified used car that had very bad breaks...we're lucky the car stopped...very frightening. When I asked them their final cost...the rep walked away, into an office and sat gabbing and laughing with his colleagues.....we walked out ....YOU should never walk in. Cons: all more
