A few weeks ago, my car started hesitating on acceleration. I took it to Belmont Garage and was told that it simply needed a tune-up. Somehow, this tune-up wound up costing me $68...

Best service in town. The people are attentive and get the job done cheap! You cannot find another shop so honest. I went in for repairs and they fixed the issue..didn't charge me and washed my car for FREE...WOW! more

I have been using Belmont Garage since I moved to Dallas after college, about 14 years. A good mechanic is an important relationship to have, and Ray Lewis of Belmont Garage is a GREAT mechanic. He has worked on my Jeep, my Nissan, my Ford, my Chevy and my mother's Lincoln. I bring my cars to him for oil changes, inspections, and everything else. The customer service is amazing, Mr. Lewis is always so kind.\r more

Absolutely fantastic 2/11/2014

I'm a single woman, and Belmont Garage is the first auto shop I've been to where the staff didn't treat me like an idiot or try to rip me off. They are absolutely fantastic -- honest, hard-working, excellent mechanics who take pride in their work. I've sent many friends to Ray over the years, and every one has raved about his service. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. more

Great service from people you can trust 8/19/2013

They were able to do a major brake overhaul on my vehicle in the middle of the afternoon and got me back running before 5 p.m. And they shopped around to find cheaper parts. Even had time to do an oil change before I picked up the car. Great service from people you can trust. more

Appreciate their understanding 11/8/2011

I really appreciate them getting me in and out in a hurry. It was a last minute emergency, and I had somewhere to be but they never treated me like an inconvenience. more

Friendly Staff 11/4/2011

The garage is clean, friendly staff and excellent skills. One time, it was just a battery and he advised me to go to Sears because that would be faster as he couldn't get to it until the following day! more

What a breath of fresh air the Belmont Garage is. Almost anybody older than a teenager has experienced auto service shops as incompetent or dishonest. It is an epidemic. But the Belmont Garage is staffed with WONDERFUL personnel that are not only extremely competent but also honest. Kudos to them for standing out for excellence in a cynical world. more

Great service and great price. He won't overcharge and will not suggest that you fix things that don't need repair or maintenance. I won't go on with details because then his shop will get too busy and then the wait will be too long, but if you are in town and need a remarkably dependable and trustworthy mechanic, he is the one. more

One time I brought my car in here so he can check my air conditioning and Ray told me the people who installed it didn't install it properly. He saved me big time , if he didn't tell me what was wrong with is I wouldn't had known. more

Perfect timing 9/2/2011

My fave mechanic suggested Belmont Garage, saving me $400. Not only did they fix my problem cheaper than my "general practitioner" could, they happened to have the part in stock and were able to do the entire repair in one morning. How'd they have the part in stock? Funny story. Glad you asked. The parts dealer had dropped off a component for the wrong model of Mazda just the day before, and it was sitting on the counter waiting to go back. And then I showed up. Perfect timing! more
