Editorial review from Citysearch 10/14/2013

I have tried them a handful of times now because they are so close to me, but never again. Twice I have placed delivery orders only to be called back and told that actually, the delivery person isn't there yet, etc. So no delivery. A 3rd time I was called back and told that they were out of 2 of the 4 items I ordered. \r \r The pasta in the spaghetti was bloated and mushy as paste. Inedible. The cannoli's seemed to have Hershey syrup all over it like a madman had prepared them. We did like the pizza, but that was our last order because the sodium content made both my husband my hearts race like crazy for several hours. \r \r We tried. Can't do it again.l more

Take my word, go somewhere else 12/2/2011

I know I am not supposed to do this as an employee, but please do not eat here. If you saw the kitchen it would make you sick to your stomach. I understand that in the interest of being cheap (and they are cheap) and spending as little money as possible to keep a restaurant clean and safe a lot of places cut corners, but this is ridiculous. They blatantly disregard health code rules and if any employees bring up the extremely unsafe work conditions to the higher ups, all it does is get you in trouble. Trust me, don't bring your family here. If you want to come in and drink, fine, no problem. But if you want good quality, safe food for your family, go anywhere else. This used to be a great place to eat and work, but over the last couple of years it just keeps getting worse and worse. Anyone who goes there can see the decline, but only the staff knows how bad it really is. I am truly sorry to anyone who has gotten sick from the food, that is why I have to post this. Please, just go somewhere else. more

Not to bad 11/8/2010

Bella's is one of our favorite pizza and wings spots. They've got everything from pasta dishes to calzones and hot sandwiches. I'm always craving their antipasta salad with its fresh ingredients and house dressing. Anything you order comes in large portions so make sure you save room for dessert. You can't go wrong with the zeppilis! more

Unacceptably Slow 11/6/2010

The food was good, but definitely not worth the wait. Myself and 4 others went on a Friday night when there was no wait for a table and had to wait almost an hour for 2 pizzas and 2 slices. The most appalling thing was that this was in no way mentioned by our waiter. I guess it must be a normal thing, but was totally unacceptable as a customer. Add to this the fact that you can't customize the specialty pizzas in any way (what few there are to choose from anyways). While the pizza was decent the restaurant as a whole is a total waste of time. There are several other places in the area who have pizza which is easily as good or better. Don't bother. more

Great Pizza 11/3/2010

We love Bellas! We start off with either the garlic knots or pizza rolls which are out of this world (you could make a meal out of either). My daughter loves the pizza and we love the strombolis and chicken parm sandwich (both of which are large enough to share). The staff is always pleasant and helpful. more

Nice pizza delivery in Smyrna 9/22/2009

We like to order pizza on the weekends, but sometimes have problems deciding who gets to choose the toppings. Bella's solves that problem by offering pizza by the slice. We love this option because we all get our favorites. We also like the lasagna, gyro wraps & calzones too. We've never actually dined in at Bella's - always get it to go or delivered. Pros: Location, Variety Cons: Sometimes a little slow more

Best Pizza in Town! 10/19/2008

This pizza is great! I love the new menu items with the pizza's with all the toppings. I was appauled about the last review with it being a frozen pizza. I asked the manager on my last visit and they assured me they are not frozen, they even make their own pizza dough and sauce from scratch. The reason you cannot change toppings on the 'specialty' pizza's, is because they are just that. They prepare the toppings ahead of time and then just add them to the pizzas as they are made. The way the manager explained it to me is that It would be very time consuming to add all those toppings one at a time. They are the same toppings, just all mixed ahead of time. I'm just thankful that they put all those toppings on for a lower price then if I put them on there all individually. I don't think I have ever gotten a pizza from Kroger that tasted this good, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever bought a frozen pizza from Kroger, I perfer fresh handmade pizza.... I'll be back again and again.\r \r Thanks Bella's for making a great pizza at a great price! Keep up the great food! Pros: Great Pizza, Great Price more

Please Avoid At All Cost 8/20/2008

This is one of the all time lows as far as pizza eating. They were not accommodating at all as far as toppings go. They couldn't do half cheese/ half veggie or substitute toppings. Who has heard of not being able to do that?! When we finally got our pizza, I realized why. They are serving premade frozen pizzas here that they stick in the oven! I might as well have gotten a kroger brand pizza. No flavor. Go down the street to st angelos or blue moon for far better pizza and service. Pros: waitress was friendly Cons: smelled awful, pizza=gross more

Best Pizza in Atlanta 9/18/2007

I relocated to Atlanta from New York. One of the hardest things to do was find good food. Bella's was initially a recommendation by a few of my friends from Queens. I was a little leary due to the fact that a couple of weeks prior they referred me to Mellow Mushroom for a calzone. It was the absolute worst. It looked like a giant airline pillow as opposed to a half moon. \r \r Bella's sauteed my vegetables to perfection. The pizza is thin and crispy. The crust is the absolute best. If you are getting together with a group of friends during the week for a night cap they offer half price specials. The staff has an upbeat attitide Stick is the best server. I wouldnt recommend it for little kids due to the bar atmosphere. Pros: Great Food Cons: Terrible Parking more

good pizza 1/24/2007

Great pizza!! Convienent and near to where i live. They dont deliver and that is unfortunant but the pizza is so good that it is worth it to go pick up a pie! Pizza quality fluctuates but 97% of the times I have been, (i have been eating there since 2004) the pizzas have been near perfect. Parmesean chicken on the large cheese is a really good choice. Atmosphere is more like a bar than a restaurant. Taking young children may not be a WONDERFUL idea because there are beer signs everywhere and the bar takes up half the restaurant. Teenagers and young adults might enjoy it more, but that doesnt leave out the middle aged as they also enjoy a great pizza every once in a while. Great choice for good pizza! Pros: Large, friendly staff Cons: more of a bar more

greezy, boring pizza with good service 1/3/2007

Beth and i were seated promptly and were impressed with the large menu. However we were looking for good pizza and we read that this place had it. It's really a sports bar atmosphere and not a pizzeria. The crust was mushy boring and greasy. pretty tasteless in fact. We don't 'understand how this could be called great or even good pizza. The sauce was mediocre and the garlic was stale. The sauteed veggies on top made it even more greasy. The sausage was sliced, as if it came from a roll. No spice to it. Large pizza was not even good enough to take the left overs home. Now you know how bad it was Pros: service was good Cons: food was bland. Not at all a new york pizza more

A great Atlanta pizza! 7/27/2006

I used to live nearby and come all the time. I've been back frequently since then. Their quality and service have remained the same; highly recommended! This is really great pizza. But don't miss the garlic knots or stomach filling calzones.\r I don't understand our crazy atlanta neighbors who seem to be having a running argument about whether it's real NY pizza or the greatest in Atlanta. Ignore them. I do. It's casual, good for kids, good for a group after work, good for showing date that you're not trying too hard to impress. Come be yourself.\r Beware of parking. It's often a nightmare. Pros: pizza, service, casual Cons: parking, parking, parking more

greasyyyy as H@*^!!! 7/24/2006

Ok, I eat alot of pizza, and love to try new places. dont know how this got so high on citysearch. the pizza was so freaking greasy I felt my heart getting blocked by fat. Wouldn't go back for pizza unless I really needed to give my heart a run for its money. Cons: greasy pizza. more
