After shopping for several weeks for new living room furniture, we finally decided to order our sofa, loveseat and recliner from Bed & Furniture Warehouse, Manheim. The salesman told us that delivery would be in 4 weeks, and that was one of the deciding factors in our decision since every other store we had been to told us at least 6-8 weeks for delivery. We needed the furniture asap since we did not have any other furniture at the time. We were surprised that they could deliver this quickly, and confirmed that several times with the salesman before signing the order. We also were told that our loveseat normally came in a rocking style, which we did not want, but were assured that it could be "modified" without a problem so that it would not rock. This was also written up on the sales order.
Needless to say, 4 weeks came and went, still no furniture. After 6 weeks we were told the sofa and recliner were in, but the loveseat was sent to be "modified". We asked for delivery of the sofa and recliner, and would wait for the loveseat. Then, a week later, we were told the loveseat was actually damaged in shipment, never went to be modified, and would need to be re-ordered with delivery another 6 weeks away. After being told many different stories with many different broken promises, we had a meeting with the manager. He assured us that if we were patient he would get things worked out. Next thing we know, after waiting the extra 6 weeks, the manager called to say that the loveseat cannot be modified, this was an error on the salesman's part, and should never have been promised to us that way. Total time between all of this turned into 3 months - 12 weeks!. All of this over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays! Since we did not want a rocking loveseat, we instructed them to come and pick up the sofa and recliner and return our money. Why did it take all this time to find out the furniture could not be delivered as ordered? Do not trust these people!
