In response to KrisT209. Your description of the way you were treated is typical of this forum. You can say anything and that is the way that it is. Or is it? If you have a legitimate position here you should utilize the Better Business Bureau arbitration program, there could even be some financial compensation in it fer ya. Pros: null Cons: null more

Original message: "Spent over $4000 in transmission and rear differential repairs. Once the transmission was fixed, noticed leaking, and immediately took it back in. They told me it was access transmission fluid left from the last time. Then told me I had a rear differential problem. This is where the nightmare really started. Communication was horrible. Pete did nothing but talk down to my wife and I. During the entire process it was unapologetic. You would think as a paying customer, I wouldn't have to call in daily for a status update of my vehicle. As another customer on here has stated that as soon as they "fixed" a problem another one appears which doesn't seem to fall under warranty or they can't confirm it was them and take responsibility for their fault." thank you city search, I found my transmission shop 5/22/2010

I have a 2006 f 150 that had a real loss of power. I was diagnosed at another transmission shop at needing to rebuild or replace my transmission. With the price I was quoted I wanted to get a second opinion. so i got on city search and took it to Beaverton all transmission. After road testing my truck The real problem wasn't my transmission, It was a collapsed exhaust system due to a defective catalytic converter, which made my truck have a loss of power. I had to find a mechanic but it was a whole lot cheaper than a transmission replacement. Thank you Pete, you guys didn't get my business this time, But your honesty will bring me back in the future. Pros: honesty, honesty, honesty, honesty. Cons: none more

Good guys 5/13/2010

I recently took my Dodge Dakota in because the tranny was having issues with grinding in 1st and 2nd gear (it's a manual). Pete was very helpful and upfront about the potential costs. When they took it apart it ended up on the high side of the cost spectrum, so Pete offered me several options including sourcing my own replacement tranny and clutch. I went by the shop (without telling them I was coming) and they immediately showed me my tranny, including the damaged gears and the worn clutch. Since their parts costs were rather high I decided to get my own parts and they gave me a great deal on the labor. I doubt they made any profit, but they stuck to their word and I highly recommend them based on their honesty and integrity. Pros: Integrity, Honesty, Low labor price Cons: High parts price more

A shop with honesty and integrity 9/28/2009

My 2004 Honda Civic was having some troubles and I had taken it to multiple transmission shops in the sorrunding area, all of them told me that I needed a new transmission or have my rebuilt which I did not have the money for. I ended up going to beaverton transmission to get their opinion, they did find something wrong with it. I discussed my money situation with them and they recommended that I should try going to the Honda Dealership to see if my warranty would cover the charge of fixing it. Which it did, so I had my car fixed for free. Not only did i get great customer service but I found a shop that truely cares about people and are honest. They recomeded me to go to Honda knowing they wouldnt get my buisness if Honda fixed it. It is hard to find honest people now a days, so i know where i will be going if I have any other problems with my cars :D Pros: great customer service, honest, and quick Cons: none more

beaverton transmission saved my buissiness 8/30/2009

I am a contractor and if i don't work i don't make money. I have a e-150 van with an automatic transmission that was't shifting properly. I pulled in a half an hour before they closed. I explained my problem about my situation of needing my van for work, and they pulled my van in to the shop and found that i was low on fluid because of a faulty seal. They stayed late to replace it at a very reasonable price, and had up me going to the next job. I really believe that Beaverton transmission went far beyond my expectations for customer service. they gained a customer or life. Pros: went above and beyond customer service Cons: none more

do not recommend them for any work 7/19/2009

got my transmission replaced from beaverton auto transmission. 2 weeks later, got it checked from them that there were no leaks, and they gave a 6 months warranty on the work. 3-4 months later, I discovered that the transfer case was leaking. Went back to them, and they said the warranty was onlly for tranmission. The transfer case never leaked before, so if they screwed up the transfer case while replacing the transmission, I would expect them to own that and work on it under the warranty - but no arguments work with them. Cons: disregard for accountability and ownership of their mistakes more

Great customer service and immediate attention! 3/10/2009

I walked thru the door expecting the worst...an inspection that would take an hour to tell me I would need to spend $$$$ to fix my car. After listening to my explanation they took 15 minutes with the car and fixed it no charge!! I offered to pay something and they said just remember us when you have another transmission issue. I can guarantee, I will! Pros: They knew what was wrong with my car after my description Cons: No cons more

these mechanics now what they are doing, they did my transmission and it works great 3/2/2009

Higly recommend this transmission shop. 2/26/2009

I had an excellent experience at Beaverton All Transmission. These guys were not only courteus and knowledgable but priced right in there even lower than other quoates I was getting.I also wanted something dependable for my wife and daughter because they travel out of the metro area frequently. My car didn't work this well new! more

Pushy mechanics perform shoddy work! 6/25/2008

I went in for a $75 transmission service, which entails of a fluid and filter change. My transmission was shifting very rough and this service could have made the problem better or have no effect on the shifting. I got the car back with the transmission holding onto gears too long (up to 4.5k under light load) and stalling the car upon coming to a stop. The shops said they would look at it but there was no warranty for the work. I took the car to Aatco (5 stars) and they found that Beaverton Transmission had filled the fluid 3 quarts too low (too low for the dipstick to read) and left a pan bolt missing. It seems as if they had done this in order for my transmission to grenade after a few months. On top of this, the tall grey-haired mechanic was very pushy and tried to replace the transmission for $2600. more

Didn't rebuild transmission right!!! 5/26/2008

We had our transmission rebuilt close to 100,000 miles. They swore to us that "if anything ever goes wrong with a rebuilt transmission, it will go wrong within 3 months." So, we only bought a 6 month warranty. After 18 months, the transmission completely went out and we are now without a car. According to an Aamco mechanic, Beaverton Transmission did NOT even fix a lot of the problems with our transmission and they said that they did a completely poor job rebuilding the transmission. Do yourself a favor, go to Aamco to get a transmission rebuilt. At least they have a lifetime guarantee and they service your transmission regularly for free. Beaverton Transmission cost us a LOT of money in the long run. I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. Pros: They were done quickly. Cons: They were done quickly, but they did NOT fix the transmission the right way!!! more
