Beaver Creek Tavern

Since this place opened back in Jan of 2010, I have had nothing but good times there. The bartenders, the owner, and everyone else that works there are just so friendly. I go there with my friends and or family at least twice a week. The crowd is generally very nice, the food is great, and the atmosphere is always fun. I would recommend this place to anyone. more

We were in Downington, PA for a lacrosse tournament. After spending all day at the fields, we wanted a place nearby to enjoy dinner with the team. We had 20 people meet at the Beaver Creek Tavern for dinner. The food was outstanding and the staff was fantastic. It took about 45 minutes for our entire party to arrive and the staff was very accommodating. I must also comment on the personal attention we received from the proprietor, Mr Stu Deets, who ensured that all our needs were met. A favorite on the menu was the Philly Cheesesteak and everyone left satisfied. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I was there on a Saturday night with my boyfriend for dinner and drinks. We sat in the bar area and no one came to wait on us. We had to get up and go to the bar to get some service. It was very crowded in the bar, there were people bumping into me as I was seated at my table trying to eat dinner. The food wasn’t anything special and a bit overpriced. Our waiter went missing when we were finished and ready to pay. We had to go to the bar again. We found our waiter at the bar socializing and not paying us the least bit of attention. But wait it gets better! We tipped him less than 10%, and then headed out to our car, he came storming out into the parking lot cursing at us and yelling that we tipped him 10%. He was leaning into the window of my car, I was actually scared and almost called the cops, thankfully another car pulled into the parking lot he turned around to go back inside. I will never go back to Beaver Creek Tavern; our waiter was an embarrassment to the rest of the establishment and should be terminated. Our bill was $35, our waiter made a whole ugly scene for what an extra $2 we stiffed him on. I’ve worked at a restaurant before and some people don’t even leave tips he’s lucky we gave him what we did. I live in the area and had never been and was excited to try Beaver Creek for the 1st time, will that was my first and last time there.
