Doug at Beaumont Hardware is the best! I walked in without the tools or knowledge to do a project I'd been thinking of for awhile. He was SO patient, helpful, and kind. He walked me through each step very carefully even though the store was busy. It made all the difference. He didn't try to sell me things I didn't need and he made sure I knew how to use the things I did need. I had a GREAT experience there today! more

Great neighborhood place with a true neighborhood feeling. These folks really go out of their way to work with you. Pros: Surprising range of stuff for its size Cons: Not that large, so you might just have one choice more

LIMITED SELECTION 7/17/2003

This store had great customer service, but lacked in tool selection. I was looking for a 1/4"" drive 13mm socket, but to no avail. The positive side was that I was asked by two employees within 5-6 minutes if I needed assistance. One negative about their customer service is their inability to support other local hardware stores because they wouldn't give me any ideas on where else I could check for the tools I wanted. Pros: Good customer service, Decent tools, Not crowded Cons: Ltd. tool selection, High prices, Not the best quality more
