This place needs to be shut down. Parents who bring their kids here because they think the baby bears are cute should stop to think about the bears. The babies need to be with their Moms instead of all being thrown into a "play yard" to attract the attention of passersby. There are too many bears and they are exhibiting signs of stress. Surplus bears are being killed so their gall bladders can be sold. Parents, instead of visiting this park with your children please educate them about why places like this should not be allowed, more

expensive family fun 9/8/2005

This place is a wildlife drive thru park. The house a wide variety of animals but are famous for the bears. You can watch bears play and eat from the comfort of your car. They also have a nice "baby" park that you can walk around and a great gift shop. The only downside is that it is very expensive. more

Enjoy the wildlife 8/10/2005

Bear Country is something you've gotta see if you are in the Black Hills area. Although it can be kind of expensive, I believe it is worth the money. Especially if you can cram alot of people in your car. You start out by driving through the park. Looking around you will see an assortment of wild animals which is really neat. When you are done with the driving part, you can get out of your car and walk around an area designated for the baby animals. A highlight is the playful baby bears. You will end your experience by touring their unique gift shop. more
