I injured my lower back when I was an athlete in high school and that area has always been my weak spot. My lower back would be the first place to hurt whenever I was on my feet for long periods of time. I knew no matter how much strength training or pilates I did, it would not correct the problem. I've never had chiropractic care before, but Dr. Bazil was completely understanding and thoroughly explained to me how chiropractic care could help me. \r \r After my first adjustment I was amazed at how much my energy had increased. My lower back no longer hurts right away after a workout or being on my feet for a long time. After a few weeks of treatment from Dr. Bazil I started to notice how my overall health had inproved. Not only did my lower back no longer hurt and energy increased, but my neck is has become more flexible. \r \r Dr. Bazil is really a great chiropractor and genuinely cares about his patients health. When I first arrived in Dr. Bazil's office I was desperate. I was in agonizing pain and could hardly walk much less do anything else. I had walked in to his office with the support of my husband holding me up. I physically could not stand, walk, sit or lay down. Everything and anything I did was painful. I was walking as if I were hunched back. I had numerous sleepless nights and was desperate for help. The pain was from my lower back all the way down my left leg to my knee. It felt as it someone used a hammer and shattered my knee cap. Well, after a few weeks of intense therapy and adjustments, I was on the road to recovery. I no longer need a walker and or my cane. I have been treated by various Chirporactors over the past 30 years since a horrible head -on car accident and in my experience Dr. Rod Bazil is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced Chiropractors that I have experienced. I chose Dr. Bazil after speaking to him several times in Downtown Huntington and then asking friends about him. All good referals. It has now been over three years and he has helped me out of several binds (often using new methods I have never seen before) and reduced back pain, shoulder pain and more! Yes as others have said the inital conference is about 90 minutes for the X-Rays and work-up but would you really want to put your neck or back in the hands of Doctor who would not take the time or care to get it right? Dr. Bazil has treated me for about three years now and when I first came in I had migraines everyother day and my left arm would fall asleep at no reason. With his treatment, I was able to go on my regular duties and not think about the pains that it has set me back. I can go to school and concentrate. I can sit at my desk at work or at school for a long period of time and not get agitated like I did before. Dr. Bazil and his staff are extremely helpful and generous. Dr. Bazil has done wonders for my wife. She was having terrible back pains. After a few sessions with Dr. Basil she was walking tall, and feeling great. Dr. Basil is a genuine person who, I feel, truly cares about everyone especially his patients. When I took my wife to he first appointment he explained what was going on, and the course of treatment in simple to understand terms that us regular people can understand. I'm lucky enough to not need chiropractic treatment but the results I've seen with my wife and other friends who have gone to see him I have nothing but high regards for Dr. Bazil and his entire staff which is a wonderful group of people that make you feel welcome and comfortable. I am extremely pleased with my progress after being treated by Dr. Bazil over the past few months. Initially, I was referred to him from friends who know him because I was suffering from extreme headaches. I was in pain every day and I was taking a strong pain medication to alleviate it. My first visit with Dr. Bazil was extensive and included a through evaluation including x-rays. He measured my range of motion and asked many questions about my current state of well being. Even though I really wanted to get an adjustment that day, he waited until he could review the results of the x-rays and was sure of the cause of my pain. For this, I am grateful because he didn’t rush into treatment before making a through assessment of my condition. He took the time to explain what was causing my pain and the treatment that would not only correct it in the short-term, but would keep it from recurring.\r \r It turns out that my C-1 vertebra was out of line and pressing on the nerve going into my brain. The very next day he did perform an adjustment on me and I felt almost immediate relief from my pain. We set up a plan for treatment that made sense to me. Since I started my treatment with Dr. Bazil, I have been able to stop taking any medication; I sleep better, have more energy, and have had no headaches since. I am very grateful for Dr. Bazil’s professionalism and care! Dr Bazil also offered various options for payment that were very reasonable. This is especially important to me because my medical insurance does not provide coverage for chiropractic care and he made it very affordable on my tight budget. \r \r Since my husband was diagnosed with cancer three years ago, I have discovered the benefits of alternative medicine. I believe that there is more to healthcare than medication and surgery! A testimonial to this is what Dr. Bazil was able to do for me about a month ago when I had a very strange and sudden pain in my left ankle after stepping back on it. I could not walk on it without excruciating pain. I hobbled into urgent care the next morning and they x-rayed my foot, gave me a prescription for an anti-inflammatory medication and a pair of crutches. They said it was not broken and I would be given an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon the next week. That same evening I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Bazil. I went into his office on my crutches, unable to apply any pressure to my foot. After he inspected my foot and spent about 10 minutes working on it, I literally walked out of his office carrying my crutches and in no pain at all! I was truly amazed. I returned my crutches to my MD’s office the next day and was able to continue my active lifestyle – again, without pain. He is dedicated to his profession and to his patients! Dr. Bazil is the type of doctor that makes you look forward to going to the doctors office. Dr. Bazil was completely thorough during my first visit. He did not rush me and spent as much time answering my questions as I needed. I was in need of care and Dr Bazil informed me of my options. The cheapest way to receive the care you need is to pay the full price up front. I was unable to do that, as I am saving for a wedding. We went over other possibilities for payment. There were many plans for me to choose from, so I picked the one that suited me best (payment over 18 months). One of the options I was given was to continue to receive care without paying a dollar. Dr. Bazil told me he cares about treating his patients; it wasn't about the money. I have never heard this from a doctor. After my first adjustment, Dr. Bazil called me that night to make sure I was doing well and to inform me that being sore is normal. I have continued to see Dr. Bazil every week for the last few months. I enjoy the time I spend at his office. The entire office staff is extremely friendly and care about my well-being. Dr. Bazil has told me that he feels extremely lucky to work with the staff he has. In order to be ""treated,"" most patients will have to see Dr. Bazil regularly for a couple months. There is no quick fix for the type of work he does. I have never felt better and I don't have to take prescription drugs anymore. My daily headaches are gone, without the use of aspirin. This guy uses high pressure sales tactics to lure you into his practice. First he knows nothing about corrective chiropractice care and second he refuses to take a no. I went in for a ""free"" diagnosis which took over an hour and a half. Then when he tried to sign me up for $3000 on the spot I told him to take a hike. The next two days he left me 2 voicemails begging for my business. Don't fall for this guys crap, he's just a salesman with no real medical expertise more

this guy has got to be one of the biggest jokes of a doctor i have run into yet. not only did i get to wait for what seemed like over an hour in the waiting room to be seen, the whole time i could overhear him talking to his office assistants like they were pieces of meat. i overheard him repeatedly insist that his secretary address him only as ""doctor bazil"" as if he were a military drill instructor, otherwise to not talk to him at all. when i talked to him his demeanor changed 100% as if he wanted nothing more than my business. truly a wolf in sheeps clothing, i would wear 2 pairs of underwear to your next visit with this man.
