My family and I have been using Dr. Leavitt's Bayview Optometrics for close to 12 years. But what set truly sets them heads and tails above anyone we have ever visited, is the quality eye evaluations by Dr. Leavitt. In my particular case, after a routine exam, he diagnosed a serious eye condition long before it had any noticeable effect on me. The opthamologist that I ended up seeing told me the condition that Dr. Leavitt diagnosed was so subtle that even another opthamologist could have missed it. I got some great glasses that day AND advance warning on a serious eye condition. It doesn't cost any more to see a committed professional like Dr. Leavitt. I've been seeing Dr. Leavitt for over 10 yrs now and I wouldn't dream of going to another optometrist. He uses state of the art technology along with taking time with me during my appointments. He never hurries through exams and even when I don't have an appointment he takes the time to see me if necessary! Dr. Leavitt is one of the best optometrists I have been to on Cape Cod. He is gentle and careful during eye exams and keeps you informed of what he is doing and why. He offers options for vision correction based on your needs. He is extremely knowledgeable on the latest technology and styling trends. His staff is professional and organized. I wasn't looking forward to getting new glasses, but I was near Mashpee Commons and went in to see Dr. Leavitt. What a great guy! Along with everyone else in the office, he was patient and helpful. I felt much more comfortable there because I wanted to be seen by a real doctor and not a semi-knowledgeable salesperson/doctor.
