Santa Monica Bay Lighting is the best in lamp repair. It’s hard to find good reliable lamp repair shops now days. My antique lamp from my mother was given second life by them. I thought I would not see it light up again. Thanks to Santa Monica Bay Lighting for good and fast service. more

Hope for old lamps Searching thru reviews, I had an idea were to bring my lamp that I bought from a garage sale. The ceramic base was just wonderful but something wrong with the light. Allan from Baylighting had it fixed and I bought a matching black shade from sooo__ many selections. Hmmm?fairly priced I guess. Now it?s a masterpiece. Classy too? more

FANTASTIC JOB! I know from my mother that Bay lighting has been in the business since her time. Aside from their antique and ultra-modern lighting, they also cater to lamp repair and custom made shades. I wanted my lamps to match my furniture and look like those expensive modern Italian Lamps. I brought in my fabric and after a few weeks, I showed off my tailor made lamp with my friends. Isn?t that neat! :) more

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I brought in the repair of my great grandmother?s lamp because a friend of mine recommended Bay Lighting. Just like what my friend said, repair of lighting fixtures is indeed their expertise. The guy in the counter was a good man and very accommodating. I picked up my lamp and really felt satisfied with the repair and didn?t cost a lot. Highly recommended! more

UNIQUE & GREAT EXPERIENCE! The place is just beautiful and remarkable from other lighting stores. As I pass by the store, I was instantly drawn in to look around and get myself mesmerized on the unique designs inspired by the images that you can see under the ocean. It???s mind blowing how the lamps and chandeliers are conceived and made. At the other side of the store, they have this variety of old and contemporary lamp designs and they gave me free consultancy on what lamp I can use for my newly refurbished family room. The store keeper Terry was so accommodating that I ended up buying a beautiful well priced lamp fitted for new room. more

Beware of the scams 2/3/2011

I took my very expensive crystal lamp here to be repaired. When I picked my lamps up from Bay Lighting a week later, I discovered that they had COMPLETELY broken the base of one of my crystal lamps in half in their attempts to install a new dimmer. Not only did they break my expensive crystal lamp, but they GLUED it back together and gave it back to me acting as if nothing had happened. When I confronted the owners about this, they refused responsibility and refused to either pay for a new lamp or at least repair my lamp which they had broken. They are a despicable excuse for a business. Stay away. more

my girlfriend drag me early morning to do shop for chandeliers. We entered the store and people actually greet you. I can tell they are good people coz they make took care of us while shopping. Plus I got free coffee coz I think they saw me yawning that whole time this morning... hehehe more

Nice Collection of Lamps and Lighting Products 10/21/2009

The owner helped me choose amongst the thousands of available brands and types of lights they have in there store. He advised me to get the perfect pendant light for my newly renovated house. The people in the store are all very nice. They will walk you through the process of narrowing down your choices until you find the one that you will be happy about. more

The Place to Be 10/15/2009

I LOVE their showroom. It showcase not only contemporary but also modern style of lamps. Who would miss the orange gigantic satin octopus lamp at the center of the place!? Eye catching indeed! Being an interior designer and a lover of style and art, I can't help but appreciate these things. I recently moved to a condo and my new ""Bollicina"" (ceiling lamp which is a pendant or rain drops like) that i bought from them perfectly suits my kind of style! I advice everyone specially those who loves to live in style, appreciates interior design and art, to visit and check out the lamps and other items Bay Lighting are selling. =) more

They ripped me off!! 8/7/2008

I was ripped off by this place. I needed to replace 3 glass flutes for a chandelier because I accidentally broke one during cleaning. Since the chandelier is an antique I had to order replacements for all three flutes so they would match. When my shipment finally came in one of them was broken. I accepted the other two on the condition that the owner reorder a replacement for the broken one. This was in March, 2008. None of my phone calls have ever been returned, and I have personally revisited the store four times. This is not easy, since I work nightshift as a nurse at UCLA. Either the owner was ""at the bank"" each time, or perhaps hiding in the back when he saw me enter the store. I spent over $200 here, yet months later it is clear that I will never get my missing flute. I tried in vain to find a place online or elsewhere in Los Angeles to order from, but since the flutes were antique the diameter is uncommon. This place is at the very least run by unprofessionals, and at worst are looking to rip you off. Don't shop here. more

Worst Experience Ever. Buyer Beware! 1/22/2008

I took a vintage lamp for simple shade repair. I was promised the work would be done within a couple of weeks and it took over 3 months! Even then, I had to jump through hoops to get the repairs done to an acceptable level of quality, and I even accepted new damage done to my lamp, and paid above the quoted price, just to be done with the awful experience! more

Bring your bank account, it could cost you anything 9/15/2006

I was recommended by Artemide to take my lamp for repairs here, and was quoted a $30 fee to resolder the wiring. More than I'd expected, but hey, it's an Eroupean lamp. When I'd gone to pick it up, the price doubles to $60, but was never explained why, nor was authorization obtained before performing the work. What was I to do, but to pay it so I can get my $1200 lamp back. I would never return for repairs nor purchases, as they have demonstrated that their subjective pricing is not reliable. more
