Worst

Very small, crowded, overly expensive for just some toppings, dressing, meat, and bread. Pros: Large menu, hot people, great location. Cons: price, quality, and quantity.

Flavorful salads, Creative sandwiches 7/16/2007

I stumbled across this little sandwich shops several months ago and have been hooked ever since. I always struggle to find quick and easy places to eat while shopping in Beverly Hills and this definitely has proven itself time and again. The Greek salad, with freshly cut tomatoes, avocado, onions and feta cheese comes with sliced toast and a very tasty dressing conveniently tucked in on the side. The sandwiches are toasted panini-style and have interesting toppings such as gourmet cheeses and olive tapenades. Pros: Greek salads Cons: Limited salad options for the salad/sandwich combos more

Pass 5/29/2006

Save Money, go to a supermarket, buy bread, your favorite topping, cheese and salad, go home and do it yourself. This place has nothing special to offer, just as its name says: basic bites. The chicken is boiled with no love, the rest of the toppings that are on top add no flavor. The tiny baguette, though quite tasty in itself, is still not worth $8. Pros: Cleanliness Cons: Food more

This has got to be my favorite sandwich place in the world. I usually get the Hoppin Ham sandwich, which is delicious ham, brie, tomato, baby greens, and olive paste on a deliciously toasted roll. Oh so good! All of the items have fun little names like Hoppin' Ham, Surfin' Tuna, and the Dancing Greek salad. Quality ingredients, beautifully combined for some of the greatest one of a kind sandwiches and salad treats you will find anywhere. A bag of chips and a Limonata soda and friends, lunch doesn't get any better than this. Pros: Wonderful Sandwiches, People Watching, Quick, Clean, Healthy more

not just your average sandwich place 12/5/2004

This place is the best salad sandwich place around! They offer such a different choice from your average deli style food. The cheese choice alone makes you feel healthier. The tomato basil soup is delicious, and i highly recommend using their salsa ranch on anything you get. The atmosphere is welcome and great for people watching on beverly dr. Overall, this is my favorite little eatery in beverly hills. more

Super Salad 12/13/2003

Basic Bites is home of the Groovy Avocado Salad, perhaps the most delicious salad I have ever eaten. In fact, most everything this small cafe has to offer is fresh and tasty, with eclectic additions that ensure you never get stuck with the basic salad. The service is fast and efficient, and although the occasional line during lunch hour provides a bit of a wait, it is well worth it.
