Shady character!! Did all painting work on Aaron Bartholomew’s brand new house. Owed me $10,250 for over a year. Told me couldn’t pay and that he was a lawyer and if I put a lien on his house “Id never see a dime.” Agreed to let him do some simple legal work for me to help pay off his debt and fill out a few lien forms for other homes that hadn’t paid. Very simple work I had been doing by myself for years. I sat down with Aaron in his office for about an hour and then couldn’t get a hold of him for 2-3 weeks after. Then I got a BILL from him in the mail with a few pages explaining what a lien was! It even looked super amateurish, like it had been copied and pasted from Wikipedia off of the Internet! So he billed me for 16.5 hours or $2,445 and never filed a single lien. Never answered his phone again after that. Then he emailed me and told me to never contact him about paying the rest and said if I did he would “invoke statutory penalties against me”. BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS!! There are plenty of lawyers out there. Don’t get caught like I did trying to work with sleazy low class ones. more

I know that attorneys sometimes get a bad reputation, but these guys are very reasonable and great to work with. We recently sold our home, and then found ourselves faced with a difficult legal situation and we were unsure how to resolve it on our own.
