Barnacle Bill's has some of the best fried shrimp in North Florida. They also have other seafood items as well as beef and chicken entrees. If you are in St.Augustine and ask a local for a good place to go for seafood this is usually the place you will here. Some interesting trivia about this restaurant is the the owner Chris Way the creator of Dat'l Do-it Hot Sauce which is made from St. Augustine's famous datil peppers. They story says that when Chris Way first put the hot sauce out on the tables, diners became so enamored by it that they accidentally slipped the bottles into their pockets and purses. He figured that if people would steal it, they might also buy it. His famous sauce is now sold nationwide in grocery stores and specialty shops.
