The classic Pork Banh Mi is so good because the baguette is crispy on the outside but soft on the inside: the perfect carbohydrate to absorb the residual alcohol in your system the next day. The 4 different types of meat (pork, terrine, and pate) hit the spot although the pate tasted slightly weird. The freshness and slight tartness of the pickled carrots, cucumber and cilantro in the sandwich replenishes the starving cells with nutrients. The catfish sandwich is pretty good too. This is my number 1 hangover food in NYC at $5 (although I think it?s $6 now). There are only about 8 seats at the counter so be prepared to do a take-out.
Pros: Authentic flavors and high quality baguette
Cons: Small and few seats
