Banzai has been there since I was a child, I am 26 now. If the food was bad, then it would have been long gone like the countless others who competed with them. The infamous Hong Kong eventually went out of business, and they were considered the best, because they were. As of right now, the Da Ming Express, formerly known as the Rice King, is the only competition around. The only other sushi competition as of right now is Buffet City. In comparison, your better off at Banzai, hands down. Although Buffet City has great weekend meals, such as seafood! The sushi bar is excellent, and for the prices you got to love it. The other sushi bars who popped up(then out), had insane prices for so-so sushi, such as Cafe Trang, which disappeared real quick. In Salt Lake, there is much more competition, and way bigger places. But in West Valley, Banzai is #1, especially in Sushi. Banzai gives 50% off if you eat inside the restaurant. If you get a California roll, that is 2 dollars for 7 pieces. Beat that at mcdonalds or betos. The sushi chefs are extremely cool, and you can enjoy your sushi as though you were drinking with your bar keep. They also do delivery to my house, which is also very convenient, although I just drive there and get the 10% off take out prices. Over all the food is very good. The only thing Da Ming does better is the soup, like won-ton. As for their prices, they are great considering what you get. more

I've been going to Banzai for over 10 years now... Was excited when they renovated and put in the sushi bar a while back. I Always get the service I expect... yes sometimes they are busy so you need to be patient. I have tried so many of their sushi rolls and love them all. (Philidelphia roll is one of my favs) Ann always remembers me when I walk in through the door... I think we may be doing sushi and chinese takeout tonight. more

I think my son and I found our new Tuesday night hangout. The sushi is amazing.... and half price Monday thru Wednesday!! Ozzy is an adorable and talented sushi chef..... We'll definately be going back again and again! more

I've been there a couple of times, and let me tell ya, their food is wonderful!!!, you would think panda express would be good for having chinese food, no your wrong! Banzai, has the most delicious, flavored food you can ever try, not only does panda has the same food, but banzai makes their food FRESH!!! once you place an order it is made fresh, not some food that just sits there a while, i mean would you really want a meal that just sits there under a light for a while ? i sure don't, Banzai is one of the best place to go have family dinner there, and believe me, food is great and freshly made. O and SUSHI there is GREAT! WONDERFUL!, rolls are great and their happy hour is great too! Their rolls are also made fresh, and there's so many delicious roll !! one of the best and most popular roll that's VERy GOOD is the scallop roll, oh my, its so delicious you have to try it! i like everything about that restaurant, i Highly recommended this place as being the best in chinese food,and sushi !!:) everything is made fresh and delicious! and those who criticize on them, i seen how they manage their restaurant, and they do a very good job, people who hates and dislike- they must be impatient. once again i came on my visit best place to go... if your impatient of many ways and like to lie to get another free meal, this is not the place for you. more

Flew into Salt Lake late, so didn?t have much choice. Ordered the Mongolian beef and potstickers, all I can say is that Chinese food is better in Winnipeg that this tripe, stay away, stay very far away!!! The cheesy Chinese joints in NYC would be fire-bombed for serving such garbage!!! I?m still trying to receive a credit on my credit card!!! This wasn?t food; it was what happens when food goes wrong!!! more

I have to start off by saying I eat anything and everything. I also have experiance cooking. I have a bachelors degree in culinary arts, worked in several 5 star resturaunts, and owned a successful catering company for 4 years before changing my career. I must also mention I LOVE using Chinese 5 Spice in my cooking. Pros: Nice employees, they try hard. Cons: Mismatched flavors, lack of experiance, awful smell. more

I don't want to rip on anybody else's opinion, but there is no way this is even remotely the best sushi anybody has ever had. It was barely a step above what you can get at Dan's or Smith's. Pros: prices, owner Cons: everything else more

This place has lost my business tonight. They failed to send my chicken an important part of Sweet and Sour chicken and claim they put it in. I told them they lost my business and asked for a manager the manager was not helpful at the time. Please dont go here to eat you will just be let down eventually and called a liar when you complain about a missing item. and dont pay attention to the things at the bottm they are wrong Pros: 10% off takout, Delivery, Great food Cons: None yet, None yet, None yet more
